This cracks me up, because:
A- Rogan as a stand up was average but got popular for exposing Carlos Men-stealya.
B- It reminded me of 2 other times when other have not known a musician's earlier work

Probably the best one of the day. Seinfeld”s stand up is horrible. I’ll never understand how he made it as a comedian. In fact I’d say Rogan put him to shame but I’ve never seen Joe’s act so I can’t say for sure.

People actually like Seinfeld standup? WTF? The opening segments in the first couple seasons were horrible. I absolutely love the show and comedians in cars and curb but his standup is terrible. And his poptart movie on Netflix some months back was absolutely awful as well.

You’re not seeing fully developed bits on those show openers they used in the early seasons. That was filler/fluff.
I've seen Seinfeld twice at the Louisville Palace, once in '06 and the other a few months ago. He was fantastic both times. It was like watching Maddux pitch.

Seinfeld, like most comics, is not for everyone. He's been relevant for 30 years in the entertainment industry. Gotta respect that.
These Olympics have been something. Between Faulkner, who takes up cycling post college, to win a gold, improbable! Getting a gold in the bronze in the men's mile, phenomenal! Gabby Thomas, Scottie, men's rowing, the gymnastics, all good stuff. It's okay to feel some national pride.

- Always amused by the guy casually rocking a jersey non-gameday. “Headed out for the night- what should I wear? Hmm, a polo- nope. A t-shirt, not feeling it. There’s my Maurice Clarett #13 Buckeyes jersey- bet that would look good with a pair of khaki shorts.”
- Hard Knocks is such a nice little football appetizer. So well done. Miss Last Chance U - was always a nice late July/early August drop.
- Reading Tipton’s book. Nothing great but an easy read for the nerds. Get nuggets like this one from Delk at halftime of the 1994 LSU game, “Pitino comes in at halftime and simply says, ‘You MFers are going to pay this week. You MFers are going to pay!”

Oof. I can’t imagine Johnson going anywhere else with his lineage and as much as he’s been around the program so I’m holding out hope. But if Pope misses on this one it does raise early concerns. We don’t need a lot of big recruits but we do need 1 or 2, especially if they’re in our backyard.
