Chinos all/air. Stretch pants/joggers/whatever are just sweatpants for the managerial class. Wear real clothes

The soon-to-be 15 YO rarely wears anything other than gym shorts, even on the coldest January day. Usually parlays that with some sort of ratty t-shirt or sweatshirt, and rounds it out with white tube socks and ugly-*** crocs to complete his "might be homeless" look.

That sounds an awful lot like my 80 year old dad. Maybe he is more hip than I thought. Talk about NFG, he doesn’t give one 💩. Same shirt for more than a day, sure. Hasn’t trimmed his beard or hair in weeks, doesn’t care. Gym shorts/sweats every day, doesn’t matter where we are going? You bet. Hell I’m lucky to get him to take a shower/bath more than twice a week.

Now that I think about it he is basically an 80 year old version of a 13yo AW.

I just rock prana pants almost everywhere unless a tie is legally required. They meet the bounds of professional attire and wear like pajamas. For jeans, I've got a couple pair from Origin and wife has yet to tell me they look bad so I guess they good and they are the most comfortable jeans I've worn.

I'd love to rock some golf slacks or other sort of "comfortable" pair of slacks off the rack, but it's difficult to find my size. 34 waist, 36 inseam for my disproportionate ***.

:bat signal:

-i nabbed a couple cotton Johnnie o polos 15 years ago from my pro shop. They held up well.

-denim will never go out of style... more niche, not as popular amongst suburban types... but still "fashionable" amongst those that are into "style." Jeans will always be a true American icon. Still my go to for work/casual.

-nothing wrong with a bit of stretch... more for actual physical activities.

Jeans breakdown:

most comfortable with a good bit of stretch: Raleigh Denim Workshop. Gotta find em on sale... stupid expensive.

Old school style/construction: imogene + willie, RRL.

Budget conscious: LC King, Gustin.

Cool **** for nerds from Japan/Canada: Momotaro, Studio d'artisan, Naked and Famous.

I have 4 Peter Millar pants: Grey, Navy Blue, Light Khaki, Dark Grey. Pretty much cycle those 90% of the time. I have white Polo Khakis for when I want to look like a GQ pimp, and then jeans which I usually wear sporadically in the winter. Pretty much 85% of my wardrobe is Johnston and Murphy, Travis Mathieu, or Peter Millar. I hope this has been useful information for everyone and I hope you use it well in your future endeavors.

All good "non-Italian" brands.

Millar is a customer of ours, so all our company logo stuff is PM. Not a bad deal.

A buddy high up at Humana still wears carpenter jeans. Assuming they are old and he cares for them like a painting at the Lourve but are those actually available in the wild? Dude is 43.

Like, what are you doing?

Definitely a fat right now, but when I'm not, jeans are punishment. I only wear leggings that masquerade as jeans. Hard pants can get pumped. Related, I was aghast when I discovered they make maternity JEANS. Are you shitting me? WHY??

-Jeans are honestly the only pant you can wear 4-5 days in a row and they get more comfortable as they are broken in. Not sure how anyone hates that but I have about 6 pairs and I guess I’m an old because they could all pair with a Tshirt or dress shirt/sweater and be fine.

-I’d assume Ohtani is safe for MVP, but Lindor is IMO the actual MVP by old school standards which are remove him from the team and where is that team.

-Getting past inspections is a *****. Fall break is coming at the perfect time next as it’s time to start packing up.

-In the VP debate I couldn’t help but laugh at the idea of a home is not a commodity. FOH with that nonsense after the past 4-5 years of pricing games and interest rate hikes.

- Really enjoying this Saban as godfather of college football role he has going. His very real perspective is a thing the game day crew needed.

- Lowe’s is just an awfully ran company. I ordered all my appliances on Labor Day weekend and was told I’d have them all October 1.

Today I have a Dishwasher, but the fridge was delayed until 10/30 for no apparent reason and the cooktop came in broke apparently and was not reordered and is just lost but don’t worry they didn’t bother giving me credit back for it, and last the oven/microwave is in the store but can’t be found and I’ve now been waiting 2 days on a call to confirm it is in fact at the store.

- It seems private preschool options around me are all full so I may be forced to consider daycare. Anyone have something to look out for as red flags? I assume when you are a possible new client they all seem “ok”.
