Felt like I was in the minority but I told anyone who asked me that I thought Sovereignty was better than Journalism. That form held.

In all honesty, Sovereignty probably improved off his Derby effort. Impressive talents, both Journalism and Sov.

Adjustments from both would have been interesting to watch had the race been 1 1/2 m.

Here we go imagine the Louisville, Memphis, Colorados will be first. The project financing is just window dressing imo. The hooks will be in deep within the next five years and like many other industries that went PE its all of course going to go up for the customers.

I do think if UK wanted to structure something smart carved out specific for UK football it could be succesful. Speculative for sure but big upside if it could ever overturn 150 years of suck. You would leverage the SEC brand and revenue for a PE investment post stoops. Think smart money could really help with branding as well as its currently a mess. Or we could just get speaker city logos on the black matte coal jerseys to fix the gd sound system.

Yes it would have been very interesting watching Sovereignty pull even further away from Journalism with the extra distance. NO, what it would have done was he would have drug his *** for a 9/10 lengths win instead of 2.

The theory that Sovereignty needed a fast pace t win was proven FALSE. I have read a few articles of supposed "experts" saying Journalism is still the best horse or even as good. FALSE. They are trying to convince their mind it is halftime and the score is 2-0 and Journalism still has the Travers and Breeders Cup to prove he is better or as good. FALSE. They even blamed his bad start Saturday. If he was so good, he would quit having bad starts and pinballing horses off the track.

GO Murray State Racers. True Cinderella story. Beat Duke !!!!!

No, dumbass, it doesn't work like that at that distance.

I have them both on ignore, but I’m a masochist and for some reason every once in a while torture myself by clicking the “Show Ignored Content” button.

Watching UKO and catsfan argue means it’s pretty much time to just shut this whole thing down, right?

Grief.

College sports, a lot like a certain internet thread we all know, is dying a slow death. Young kids 10 years from now may not even follow college teams, if there are any left.

Stoops’ thwarted jump to A&M is the modern equivalent of Bear Bryant’s cigarette lighter. And the list of UK Football what-ifs continue.

I’m not really sure The Big Dawg in any “administrative” role scares me. The man comes off as barely literate. But the momentum and trajectory of The Stoops Era is most certainly nearing rock bottom. This up coming season is conjuring 1995 vibes.

So I guess it’s now safe to say . . . BRING BACK THE BLACK OUTLINED POWER K HELMETS DAGGUMMIT!!!!!!!

I appreciate what Vince did here the last decade or whatever but I’ve thought his importance was overblown the last 5 or so. I’d say he was one of worst at hyping the program up and under delivering. Plus the TE room, for all their vaunted recruits, consistently underperformed. Best of luck, Big Dawg.

Marrow's skill was convincing kids from Ohio to play for UK at the cost of a college scholarship. Now it's just cash. It's not like NFL teams have Vince Marrow types to attract free agents. They have general managers offering money.

If I’m Mitch….

I go into Eli’s office and say I want to fire stoops immediately.

I will pay his buyout.

I want to hire sumrall now.

I don’t wanna compete for him next year.

I’ll sacrifice ‘25 season bc we were gonna suck anyhow.

We will immediately get fan interest back and start raising $$ for ‘26 season.

Unfortunately the buyout is too high and some of the biggest boosters like him.

How can we make it so miserable for Stoops that he just quits? There's got to be a few Billy Joe Wildcats that Mitch could pay $100K a year to who'd be willing to risk harassment / stalking charges to follow Stoops around and make him so uncomfortable he goes to the negotiating table to resign for a smaller buyout.

I'd say I'm joking, but if you multiply the misery Stoops causes each fan for 4 hours 12 Saturdays a year X our entire fan base, I'd say he'd be getting off easy by being hounded 24-7-365.

If UL has a GM of football shouldn’t UK?

Everyone worried about Vince, but I’m thinking the issue we have is the strategy and hierarchy we are slow to implement.

Matt posted a snippet from the interview he did with Marrow back in December, right after the UL stuff. I remember thinking during that interview that Marrow came off as disingenuous and just doing some PR spin.

Rumors of a rift between Stoops and Marrow coming to light now. Have to think the A&M situation is to blame.

He's a groan-*** man, he can do what he wants, To echo Wayne, I don't think a guy who's ability to get HS kids from Ohio to come to UK matter a whole lot in a NIL/transfer portal world.
