This is about as poorly coached team I’ve ever seen.
Im thoroughly enjoying seeing senior Otega Oweh play like freshman Archie Goodman.
Looking like they've never seen each other before tonight. Complete and total embarrassment.
We got destroyed from the under-12 against Louisville, too. That lineup of Johnson/Williams/Jelavic/Noah/Garrison sure didn't help.
Do not understand what we're doing on defense. Our scheme makes no sense. They're making a lot of shots, but we've allowed them to take 11 threes that have been mostly wide open. Even bad shooters are going to make wide open 3s sometimes.
Meanwhile we are just chucking up off the dribble and swinging to Dioubate camping on the perimeter for some reason.
And Oweh is abysmal. Nothing else to say about him. That pull-up long 2 with 20 seconds left on the shot clock was a disgusting, selfish shot.
He's not alone in that though. Plenty of dumb, selfish basketball being played by this team. Not a fun watch.

Watching Noah brick a front and of a one and one nearly sent my remote through the window.
I'll always remember not hate watching one UK team the last 9 years. Thankful for last year's scrappy bunch I guess.

They were actively playing together when I posted that and cut into the lead but sure.
Rebounding Tips & Techniques with Diagrams and Video
Rebounding is very important. If you rebound well, this allows you to get more possessions throughout the game. The team with the most possessions has a better chance of winning.
~ We sold out to be better defensively this year and rebound, we're possibly worse at both.
~ Cal thinks this offense is simplistic. No cuts, minimal dribble handoff and guys absolutely pounding the logo off the ball 25 feet out and just jacking it up without rhythm.
~ The components that make up this team are abysmal. We have three or four of the same dude (Williams, Diaboute, Moreno, Garrison) who all provide very little yet somehow in abundance. Diaboute and Oweh should be banned from shooting threes for the rest of the year.
~ Pope looks cooked. Not sure if it's egos or what, but his puppy dog affinity isn't going to get these dudes over the hump. This is the type of group that needs Billy G level discipline because they simply aren't making an effort.
Lowe being anywhere in this lineup isn't making this team any better. Aberdeen, Chandler and Jelavic are about our only bright spots at this point.

Nothing else you can say about that except that was just selfish, disgusting basketball. As bad or worse than any Cal team. We have no clue what we are supposed to be doing on either end.

Pope will truly feel the passion of BBN with this season. Really need to regroup and figure out an identity. Right now it feels like we have no PG and no one to initiate the offense.
I mean, might be a little early to say that, but it’s looking less insane with each 20 point deficit and 5* we supposedly lead for only to whiff on.
Koby Brea may have covered up some flaws last year.

Writing off the coach 5 games into his second season following a really good first season is such a raftardian take and the last thing this thread needs. It’s basically dead but we have to at least try and attempt to make it the last rational thread in this entire board like it used to be. Otherwise let’s just shut it down.
It isn't the message, it's the timing. That little ***** only runs his mouth when we aren't playing well. Didn't see his goofy *** in here during the tournament.
