Duke is significantly more athletic at almost every position
Yeah Robinson looks non existent with the athleticism out there.
Talent differential, plain and simple. BUT, and this is a great credit to Pope, we ARE a legit Top 25 team. Considering we had no roster when Pope was hired, that is a minor miracle.
Refs completely missed two offensive fouls on that possession.

Need more Oweh and Carr in the second half.

Cats will be fine in the long run, but there’s a ceiling on this bunch. I think they’ll stay competitive in this game too. But Duke has the goods and it’s infuriating.
I think in year 3 we will too.
We have the right coach.
Now we need the right team.
(And I say that with full respect to this team; he did the best he could with limited time, and they play their hearts out. But this ain’t it.)
Not having a guard that can break them down pushing us out is a tough adjustment to make.
On the bright side, this will hopefully be one of the few teams we play that is this quick and offensively skilled at every damned position. There is no way in hell KU is 5 spots better than Duke.
The last 12 minutes we did. Had a few decent looks at a 3 that would have made a difference. Can’t keep them out if the lane, either. Surprised that they looked so rattled at times but Duke’s athleticism has contributed to that, obviously.

The athleticism issue isn't going to go away. They have not played very well at all tonight offensively. They are having trouble getting anything. But still excited for the year. Learn more from these games then Bucknell.
