Arkansas in conference play is curious. After Camp Cal over the holidays, I expected them to ascend rather than tumble. Idk. There must be something in the chicken.
We’re going to need to adopt a pitch clock for these SEC games. Good lord.
31% fg/13% 3pt/85%ft is wild. Likely come in on a 2 game win streak. Seeing all the hog fans go at Goodman makes me feel some kind of weird.
I guess it did not register until now we play Tennessee 2x in 2 weeks. With what we have left beating Vandy twice is a must. A little concerned about everyones first time in memorial. Bracing for the carolina honk to go for 30. In addition to the obvious shooting , this team is much better when Carr is solid.
Stoops went out and did what he needed to do in the portal. Probably need to add another LB but its an impressive haul. Have a qb with actual game tape that still is a question but a RB who was not asked to switch to defense is positive. At least some optimism.

Torres is a big UConn honk. I avoid his takes when it comes to them.
Those two Red Storm vs. Huskies games will be appointment television for me. It feels so good to enjoy cbb regular season again.

Ah, the false hope after pulling a couple wins out stage. Just part of the experience.
- Only 12 hours until we find out whether Caleb Wilson is awesome or overrated. PREDICTION: Overrated.
- I'm not just saying this because of pre-emptive sour grapes, but it has felt all along like Ament was a better fit for this offense. I know we'd be playing catch-up, but he'd be a nice add. And even if we miss on him too, unless there's a long-term project out there who's worth taking a flyer on, I'd be good with our three-man class and then round it out in the portal.
- Hurley and UConn were made for each other. There are just certain coach/school fits that can't be improved upon. Same with Oetzelberger/Iowa State. It just makes sense. Buzz/TAMU is in that group as well, because they're all weirdos (though I like Buzz).
- I haven't seen an explanation for the decline in ratings for that OSU/ND game that makes sense. It's always been on a Monday night. It's typically during the NFL playoffs. These are two huge national brands. I assumed it would have bigger numbers than Michigan/Washington, but nope.
- The name is dumb, but I'm digging the team. Go Commanders.

He’s with bleedbluenetwork and is the guy who’s been definitively saying Wilson to UK for months because he thinks they already signed an NIL deal with us and didn’t give us 30 days notice that he wasn’t coming here like he should have per that contract.
He also thinks Wison already spent some of the money from that contract too. He’s about the only one out there still saying he thinks Wilson is coming here.
He also conveniently will be off Twitter for the next few days doing really important things for his super important job.
I think the national title game is too late in January. Plus no SEC teams = less interest. Sorry midwestern fatties!
That game last night took 2:40 to complete btw. It is becoming a serious problem.
Games in the pre conference were going 1:45 or so and now over 2.5 hours.
The game was on MLK day with a huge polar vortex causing tons of kids to be out of school at the same time as a new presidential inauguration. I think that explains the lower ratings. If I didn’t live in Ohio I would’ve completely forgotten about the game.
College football is a fall sport. It winds down at the end of the fall semester and crowns a champion in the middle of a semester break (traditionally speaking, of course). Having this new championship being played in the dead of winter seems like an entirely different season all together.
Yep. Taking nearly 8 weeks after the season ended to play 11 games was absurd.
It's unwatchable now. They have got to get a grip on the amount of replays allowed during a game.
Wait till March when every game gets an extra TV timeout and the number of reviews (bc of importance of games) will grow.
I have said, for a long time; there shouldn't BE fouls in basketball. I think it should self-police. If someone is getting "carried away" then the opposing team can take matters into their own hands (a well-timed nut slap etc.)

It’s not just the replays. It’s 40+ fouls and 60+ FT’s a game that is completely ridiculous. Throw in 4 or 5 unnecessary reviews and it becomes unwatchable.
