- Yeah, not buying the "at least we made it close." Took fluke shooting on both ends for that to happen. They got whatever they wanted all night. We don't pressure the ball, we let guys get comfortable, we let them run whatever they want. Layup or wide open 3 on about 90% of their possessions. Honestly unfathomable how bad we are at forcing turnovers with this squad.. was a huge issue last year too, but was hoping that was explainable by roster construction/injuries. Starting to get concerned that's just how Pope's defenses are going to play. Pretty hard to be an elite defense if you don't force turnovers.
- Offensively we're merely okay. Maybe we'll make enough shots, maybe we won't... but the quality of our looks vs the quality of theirs is night and day. Lowe is creative, I guess, but he gets relentlessly bumhunted on defense. He needs to be much, much better on one end or the other (ideally both) for us to do anything of meaning.
-,Oweh is finding out that he can't just force it into a packed lane on this team. Not enough gravity around him this year. And I'm not sure his shot has ever looked worse.
- Last year's team (if healthy) beats this one by double digits. There's no Brea, no Williams, and there's sure as heck no Butler on this squad.
