UVA splits the next 2, they'll still win the ACC, maybe by a few games.

Their next 7 after UofL are:

NC State
Wake
Pitt
FSU
Wake
VaTech
Syracuse

Yeah, baring a complete collapse or slip up 3 of the 4 #1's are already set.

-Sticking with my Arkansas @ Rupp being the most likely loss for us after @ LSU. Does help that it's a Saturday afternoon game.

-Are we allowed to say Andrew has been playing pretty good or we still down on him for starting the national measles outbreak?

Colonel Brooks SAE. smh

I used to be proud of the fact both my parents were Ky Colonels.

This definitely diminishes it.

Oh well. Congrats, I guess.

I wasn't sure what to think of a new "Jurassic Park" movie, but Starlord riding a motorcycle with his army of raptors to go kick the **** out of some genetically-enhanced new dinosaur is a hell of a sales pitch.

So, the wizzle is all excited and says 'The Slap' is going to be our new attempt at adding a show to the rotation.

It was a cold and dreary night in a quite midwestern KY town. The Wizzle had just put on a pot of tea and asked her Hizzle to join her on the couch for what she had hoped would be their new show. She would never get to the see that show...

I really like Steve Jones and most of the recruiting guys...

But his little "My job as a recruiting journalist is SOOO HARD" piece is a
.

So you really had to take a call when you were in a bad place or on vacation? Your wife knows all about the stresses of your job? You missed breaking a scoop on a forgettable recruit to Larry Vaught? That sounds terrible for you. Meanwhile you get paid to follow and write about sports. So I'm sure like any gig it has plenty of annoyances or stressful situation but save me the typical back patting over what equates to minimal issues when you look at about every other job.

I mean anyone in management, sales, law, medicine or just about any profession above flipping burgers would be answering phone calls from potential clients, patients, bosses, etc whenever the phone rings regardless. That's not just in journalism.

Does it not occur to these guys the only people that care who breaks the news is themselves? The fans only care what the actual news is. Breaking it is 100% ego driven.

Buck's ---> awesome little spot. Similar to Jack Fry's, just a little more comfortable...Richie would love it.

The Filet was one of the better I've had around here.

-Trey Lyles.

-I know Kyle Tucker has it rough. That poor guy can't seem to catch a break.

I suspect sportswriters are guilty of living in a bubble that leaves them unable to comprehend how ridiculous their complaints seem to the rest of us. That's the only logical explanation. Because the only thing more ridiculous than people getting paid to play sports for a living is other people getting paid to write/talk about it.

Greg Morton responded to a Tweet of mine....he'll be at Comedy off Broadway in Lexington Feb 11-14. He hasn't been back in KY in forever.

He's my favorite 'non celebrity' touring comic, by far. Highly recommend for you Lex folks looking for something to do...

Sportswriters, teachers, doctors. No one working in any of those fields has ever caught a break and no one working outside of those field has any idea how tough those jobs are.

Well, doctors put in their time to ***** and they are doctors after all saving lives and curing illness. Pretty hefty stuff especially in current times with people LOOKING for reasons to sue.

Teachers, you deal with 30+ kids everyday. Again, rewarding stuff and pretty damn important especially when they aren't compensated that well.

Journalist.
Especially sports journalist. Sounds like a great gig but no one is feeling sorry for ya. Sorry. You're not changing the world bub.

-Kentucky Football recruiting, shew. The week leading up to Harris was about as positive as you can be about the program. Since he went to Bama I think we've had 7 flips and another one coming today. You can see why I was so pissed. Pretty much still getting kicked in the nuts. Staff better put up some W's this season.

:: Your point is spot on, losing on Harris was the ultimate buzzkill for this class. We're seeing the effect of missing on the local bell cow stud recruit. I imagine similar results for Stoops had he missed on Drew Barker last year. His social media presence and Elite 11 award and Army All American selections lent credibility to the vision that Stoops is selling. This year UK's class needed Harris' five stars and UA All American award to keep the buzz among recruits.

:: I also think this class looks entirely different had McWilson held onto that pick in the UofL game. A sixth win snaps the losing streak within the season as well as to UofL and UK earns a bowl bid in the process. Maybe they get Harris, maybe they don't, but they sure as Hell hold off the likes of NC State, UNC, Michigan St, and possibly Auburn for the Dinson kid.

:: The phenomenal post season for the B1G doomed UK with the last three Ohio kids in my opinion. Michigan State's comeback, Ohio State's playoff wins, and the destruction of the top of the SEC West in prime bowl games dispelled the myth of the SEC's strength as the top league in the country. Which is a huge part of the pitch in Ohio for Marrow/Stoops.

:: Can't lose six in a row to close out a season and expect to keep recruiting momentum. Wins will fix a lot when it comes to the next class. I also like that Drake Jackson is already out there leading the social media charge similar to the way Barker did his senior year of high school. Bottom line though is all signs were pointing for 2015-2016 to be the season where it all comes together. If the staff delivers then most of us will be happy.

:: On a positive note the guys that the staff has managed to keep on board is still better than most classes we've seen over the years. I like the quality that guys like Conrad, Walker, Brown, Asafo-Adjei and Richardson are bringing to the class. These guys will play a lot. Hell, Walker and Conrad might start. If the Rivals 100 DB Lewis signs (as expected...ugh, I know) that's a huge boost.

:: There are still some flipping long shots in play and I'm still holding out until after signing day to judge the class. It's not going to be as life changing in depth and scope as the first two, but if the few dominoes that are left fall UK's way the quality will be better than most classes we've seen.

:: RE: Flipping...let's be real here for a minute. The staff has made a living going after other program's recruits and getting transfers. Flips/Transfers from Stoops Era:

Marcus McWilson
Braylon Heard
Eli Brown
Denzel Ware
Jason Hatcher
Josh Krok
Jervontius Stallings
Courtney Love
Greg Hart
Marcus Walker was a decommit/recommit guy.

Hell, the Dowell twins and the Hamilton kid are at least on their third school now. The point is, this is big boy recruiting and UK now has a staff with big enough balls to at least play the game and go for guys other good programs actually want. Win and snag the bell cow they probably hold on to most. Lose and miss on the local stud and we've got what we have now...which is still better than most classes historically.

If I were a lesser person, I would hope that Harris's career flames out and that he ends up back in Berea working at Stuckey's. If I were a lesser person.

People are just guessing it is mono.

Could also be the flu.

And he HAS been quarantined from the rest of the team.

Maybe Lyles just doesn't want any information out there about his medical issues. He had that mystery injury earlier in the year as well. Probably just has the flu.
