H-F vs DGS : H-F looked very good and both teams played some old-time football

It looks like it's going to be a good year to be a Viking fan from what I saw yesterday. Game was over in 5 minutes. H-F was ridiculously good on offense though this probably wasn't the best of measures because they didn't need to show much - basically the QB would throw the ball 25 yards, then #7, #10, #4 and I think #8 then caught ball and ran 60 yards. However, I liked H-F's "single wing" look with a spinning back, that was awesome. DGS on the other hand needs to do some more study - the Statue of Liberty is normally executed on offense...
For all that DGS wasn't really that bad on offense themselves; they ran well and had a couple nice drives. If only they could have gotten their act together on defense, but the devil is in the details isn't it?

I agree Sgt. Rock... DGS didnt look bad, they were just playing H-F. I would say this DGS is an improvement to last year's squad at least offensively. Hard to say on D until next week because those H-F skills look exceptional.

56 is more than fine. The entire H-F program is a class act and isn't out there to embarrass their opponents. They know they're good.

I agree with niualum! 56 was enough plus there is no need to risk injury to any key players. However, this week at Stevenson......IF they get up by a lot, I do not expect them to call off the dogs until very late. But that is a big "IF"

My thoughts exactly Newt. Why would they run the score up on Stevie? Stevie played a class state game last year.

HF actually should have scored a lot more points.....
Domer (fratty), I am certain that the HF community would prefer you go play on 187th. Unsolicited advice: You should consider not posting on this site anymore, post haste!

Guys, I am not pushing up the score and I certainly agree that Stevenson is a very classy, and gracious winner. I just know our coach like to make big statements in bid games. They are going to play up the revenge factor all week as motivation.

I just hope coach remembers in 2011 after we scored 41 1st half points we decided not to score in the 2nd half. Sooo, I would expect the same in return. Just saying...

What statement is coach Buz gonna make? In week 2? Really? That's his BIG STATEMENT game? Wow I would hope he's a better coach than that.
