To be fair, "The Sound of Music" was complete utter ******** as well. Didn't stop them from winning Oscars.
The biggest one being, that it was Maria von Trapp that was the hardcore disciplinarian and not Baron von Trapp.

The worst part of this story is that a conservatorship for a 37 yo is still in place. The Tuoeys should've severed any control over his finance affairs years ago when he became a mature adult.

So, he learned about this ago but by chance it is made public a week after his new book is released.? The timing is very suspicious. Don't believe for one moment this will not help book sales.

Imagine having being blessed with a God given talent. And all the people that try to get a piece of your profits when you are 18. A book comes out, which you share the money with everyone, just a few thousand dollars. But a movie offer comes in, you don't share that, thats 7 figures plus. You are his conservator so you own his business deals, because he is "incapable and mentally ill or mentally weak". So in the movie you show him as being dense and slow. Oher is not dumb, not sure if you realize how intelligent offensive linemen have to be to play in the NFL.

Oher received offers from Tennessee, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, South Carolina and Ole Miss. Now imagine that no one knew that he was a highly valuable talent in his senior year of high school with Freeze. Really imagine that.

It appears that someone with knowledge of the movie deal spilled the beans earlier this year. And my guess is that deal is either confidential or going to another chosen fund that does not have the family's name on it. Just a guess.
