Jackson Prep 24-14 over 3A Forest
Jackson Academy 32-21 over 4A NE Lauderdale (last week)

They were all good wins, but the "big boys", as you put it,aren't in Caledonia, Forest or even NE Lauderdale.

They can compete in certain classifications and would get even better if they did convert over. Seems like a easy choice from a budget standpoint and enrollment opportunity. You could cut out the 3-4 hour road trips kids and families have to make.Traveling 3 hours for a baseball or basketball game in the midweek just to play another academy.....Including Jr High has to hurt potential enrollments. You may get to see your kids play more away games. Say if Heritage decided to go MSHSSA. They could play in 40-50 mile radius:

East Oktibbeha
West Lowndes
Okolona
Hamilton
Calhoun City
Eupora
East Webster
Ackerman
Aberdeen
Nettleton
Houston
Caledonia
Plus Starkville Aacademy, Oak Hill, Macon Central if those decided to flip also.

Would also improve their sports programs in Soccer and tennis.

Seems like all the other states are making it work. And eventually it will happen or more privates will close down.
