I wanted to officially thank my fellow sarcastic (witty) State brethren of the Pack for promoting our little video — #hailstate — our new agency, Alter Ego, produced. As a followup, thanks to the near 10,000 views on YouTube our video will be played on the video board in pre-game. Thanks to all of you, even the Rebel lurkers who gave it a view. I know you guys don't play for hate and all and instead play for love, but thanks anyway.
Background on the video: We shot the video for fun. Our two-man crew was granted access to one game, Kentucky, to shoot our footage for the video. We had some limited sideline access. To be honest, it wasn't the best game from an atmosphere standpoint but we got enough shots to make it work. And we appreciate Tony Pasko, the music writer for Duck Dynasty, for agreeing to record his rendition of "Hail Dear Ole State", the song written by Meridian's own Mutt Peavey, father of legendary Hartley Peavey. Pasko actually moved to Meridian from Chicago to work for Peavey ... and we're lucky to have him. Hopefully we'll be able to get more access and do even better projects in the future. We greatly appreciate Scott Stricklin and the athletic deparment for seeing the video and agreeing to play it on the video board. We're pretty pumped.
Ok, back to the gameday fun. And if you didn't like the video, that's cool. We thought it could be better, too. And our next one will be.
Thanks Pack.
