Flag pole moved?
Hashtag stuff is not my thing, but whatever... I guess it got us some press being the first University to use it on the field.
Just noticed the American Flag pole has been taken down... wonder where it was moved. Is there room to put it on the south end?

I'm all for the #hashtag but not in the end zone. I don't understand why we can't put it between the 35 and the goal line. Put a big bold maroon sideline all the way down to the endzone and put it in white on both sidelines. I love how we've been innovative in this area but in the endzone is just too much.
Yeah, you're right. There's not a tradition that we are holding on to. That's just my personal opinion. I just think it looks awesome with a maroon background and "MISSISSIPPI STATE" written out in the end zone.
Also, this may just be me and I know it's minor but since we're talking about cosmetics, what about the logo at midfield? I with it was a little larger. maybe the 42 to the 42

That is what I am thinking but did not want to be the first to say it.... looks pretty rough, looked way better a couple of weeks ago. Has it been cloudy and rainy for a few days?
Nailed it. It is a badass, original idea that a lot of others have copied since we first did it. Looks great right where it is.

My thinking is the fact that it's new sod and hasn't had time to establish a deep root system. Next season should look much better .

hard to tell from an aerial photo but looks like a heavy fungus has attacked... I hope it is not a nematod problem like happened several years ago, I think 99.
On a Thursday morning the field was cut and later striped. Friday morning all was good and by Friday night the field was destroyed from a nematod problem.

I'm a fan, but only if it's like once a season. I feel like our athletic department gets an idea and when is a success says "Again!" It's annoying. It's like the True Maroon game. It was a success so they added 40 more "____" games requiring you to buy _____ color.
My only complaint is they're overdoing a good thing... This isn't a national audience... Everyone watching this on FSN is a State fan from Mississippi or Alabama. The point is to have this trending OUTSIDE of those two states.

I'd be willing to bet they haven't painted anything maroon yet. Notice how the SEC logo is not painted either.
I wouldn't count on that... They put it on the basketball court for this season. #HAILSTATE is here to stay.
It's a good thing our administration gets it...and irrelevant that most of the knuckleheads on this board don't.

Well I'll go ahead and piss everybody off not just some. They have a new mid-field logo. They chose not to use it for this game for some reason, but I would expect to see it before the year is out. It's the one where the Bulldog appears to be getting ready to mount the M-State.

I think what they did with the basketball court is perfect! Just don't put it on the field of play. Put it on the sideline like The Hump. Or maybe what Arkansas did. I believe theirs is on the 35 opposite the SEC logo. Also, the logo will look fine. JUST MAKE IT LARGER.

Since when is advertising in your home market a bad idea? The idea is to increase trending both INSIDE and OUTSIDE those two states. Sure, more people in Mississippi are following #HailState, but unless you've saturated that market you've still probably got a better chance at gaining a new follower from Mississippi than from outside.
