For halftime entertainment at the basketball game we get to watch somebody play a video game on the Jumbotron. I can’t think of anything more Mississippi State-ish. Quality entertainment ****

I’m amazed at how they can control the cars in Rocket League. I’ve played a little and it’s fun, but I never got to a point where I could really get it to do what I wanted.
I only played on console.
Sounds like a helluva lot more fun that watching the game.
Maybe they weren't targeting your age group. Teens watch hours of that stuff every day.

That was the MSU Esports team playing against Mizzou's Esports team boomer.
I could’ve watch the dance team for a solid 10 minutes during half time. That would’ve been more uplifting.

Seriously though, it was something different, kind of cool it was us v them in real time, crowd (what little there was) was into it and we won!
Speaking of the crowd. While it turned out many made the right choice, I was shocked at the attendance today and even the student section was way down. It was an early tip but a gorgeous day to drive in and be back home before dark and I would have thought a great way for the students to start their Saturday routine. Just really surprised.
Seems that disappointing loss on Wednesday took the wind out of the fans as well as the team today.
I’ve never seen a halftime show that “pumps the crowd up” other than applause for their performance.
Quick Change (R.I.P.) and Red Panda get a big pop because of who they are/were but other than that it’s kinda the same thing.
It was something different today showcasing the MSU ESports team.
