I'll do all the classes

1A
I like Forreston over St. Teresa here. The tough as nalis, ground and pound NUIC seems to always win 1A and this year should be no different. Forreston 35, St. Teresa 21

2A
Maroa-Forsyth over Deer Creek 42-28. M-F too much on offense.

3A
ICCP big time over Carlinville. ICCP too big, too fast, too good for anyone in the 3A bracket. ICCP 56-14

4A
Rochester over Johnsburg 49-21. Johnsburg nice story, but the clock is striking midnight for this cinderella.

5A
Peoria over Venron Hills 54-35 Peoria has too many big play threats

6A
Should be closer than many expect, but I'll say PR by a touchdown, 35-28.

7A
ESL over whomever by a couple scores.

8A
Loyola wins the rematch rather easily 35-14

agree with all the picks, though i dont think 1A will be that close and think Johnsburgh stays within a few scores

Foreston
Maroa

IC 51-12
To much of everything

Rochester 33-27
Johnsburg runs the ball and controls the clock but to much Rockets offense in the 4th

Vernon Hills 21-19
Defense vs Offense I'll take the defense to make plays and carry the day.

Prairie Ridge 53-38
Samson, Samson and some more Samson

Plainfield North 21-20
After being told they don't belong in the game the Tiger defense says otherwise.

Maine South 34-31
I've gone back and forth on this one but great programs deliver on the biggest stage and MS is always a dangerous underdog.

Those are re my picks hopefully all the players and fans have a safe and memorable weekend.

So I'm not the only who thinks some of the games will be closer than expected.
