I think the US gov't will match the first $1000. It does encourage savings which is a positive. To be honest, it also gets a good percentage of Trump voters in the market since my guess is they may work for smaller companies which don't offer 401ks, matching, etc. While it won't do anything to bridge the wealth gap at all, it will at least allow folks to be in the game.I honestly do not know what I think about this one. It sounds like they would put some money in the pot, but expect long-term growth for each person. You can pay now or pay a massive entitlement later.
