This is how you eventually end a massive entitlement that is a drag on the US budget and this type of program has the potential to free middle and lower class folks in retirement from dependency on government when that retirement comes.

I honestly do not know what I think about this one. Is the government kicking in?

I think the US gov't will match the first $1000. It does encourage savings which is a positive. To be honest, it also gets a good percentage of Trump voters in the market since my guess is they may work for smaller companies which don't offer 401ks, matching, etc. While it won't do anything to bridge the wealth gap at all, it will at least allow folks to be in the game.

The policy is solid to encourage people to save. However, if you think lower and middle income people can save enough to not need social security you are delusional.

It sounds like they would put some money in the pot, but expect long-term growth for each person. You can pay now or pay a massive entitlement later. Of course one has to see the details and the system would need to be shyster-proof.

No wonder I trouble you, you listened to Joe and took the jab and are a victim of the pedophile Epstein and company.

Once again, anger at those who allowed you and your family to have some future freedoms, not upset with your new party the Democrats.

You just re-followed me on X a couple days ago, after I didn’t post for a few days. You concern me a little bit.

I’m not angry. I’m laughing at your repeated need for validation.

I figured why not. You've never cluttered a timeline.

Yep, back to oblivion for women’s hockey. They blew their best opportunity at the spotlight.

After watching the NHL forever, it was very hard to watch women play hockey. It’s too slow. Forechecking works in 3 v 3 hockey for women because they aren’t strong with the puck. When Canada tried it the USA men pounced and ended the game.

With that said, the winning goal was great for the women and instead of being humorless and vindictive, they should have capitalized.

Kalshi calls BS

What is the complaining here?

Talarico is probably going to win the primary. Counties with large populations of educated white Democrats (not necessarily Dem counties, but places where the average Dem voter is more educated and white) are blowing it out. Tarrant, Collin, Denton, Travis all putting up huge numbers of raw votes for a Dem primary.

Btw, there are more Democrats who have voted thus far than Rs statewide, seems like the final number will be close between the parties (Rs will get more ED voters).

I voted this morning in the GOP primary. Around 10:20. My wife and I were only 2 of 3 on the GOP side, there was probably 10 voters on the Dem side. All whites/Hispanics. I will be frank, I think black turnout on the Dem side will be a much smaller component than usual as the Resistance types are less likely to be black.
