I had to search a bit to find this. Sharia law compounds doesn't sound good -- in Minneapolis and Dearborn Michigan, the reality is muslims already concentrate, elect the local politicians and set up laws based on their beliefs. It is majority rule but some of their beliefs/laws are not American and discriminate against the minority. The minority gets pushed out and they march on.

It looks like the Epstein file release is more about causing outrage and confusion than searching for justice. Each side is cherry picking the docs that make the other side look bad. Tough to know what is real and what's not, and that seems intentional.

Doesn't seem like the justice dept is actually going after people. It's pretty clear that this wasn't just Maxwell trafficking young girls/women for Epstein, but none of the other participants are facing real penalties. So far, just people losing their job. That's not enough.
I don’t think they are making enough prosecutions. I would be hauling all of the protestors in Minnesota, who are blocking streets and checking license plates, to jail and subsequently prison. I just read where a young mother was chased in her Tahoe for 17 miles by the insane buffoons. Luckily, she made it home and even better, her husband is LEO. Already on the job. Why are the loons allowed to just break windows, chase cars and run license plates because they are dumb enough to think everyone is ICE until proven otherwise?

Does anyone in here ever take an interesting position? Like tell the world that their "own team" is wrong? I'd say @rillaman, but he's independent of the partisan lunacy.

My God, fellas, things like the Melania movie are low hanging fruit here. It's obviously ridiculous that anyone is paying $75M to purchase and market a movie that might make 20% of that. And God knows none of you could possibly want to see that (at least I would hope).
This topic was started when Jeff posted about Trump taking 75 million from Amazon for the show Melania. The rest of us responded to his anger over it. TJ said he didn't like it either.

For me, I don't care. A high profile person getting paid for a look into their life is not new ground.

I have not seen any of these, but they paid well:

Billie Eilish $25 million
Harry and Meghan $100 million
Elton $30 million.

Melania's production company takes 40 million. I assume some expenses, but a lot of profit. I have no problem with someone making money off of their story. I will wait to see the favor this administration does for Amazon. Maybe we revisit this atrocity :ROFLMAO: when we have an actual quid pro quo?

It is new ground to sell access to the First Lady while the President is still in office. It is a legal bribe. Historically, Presidents cash out after they leave office not while they are still on the job.

Present your case for the other half of the bribe please. Or you could just move on.

Remember when you told us about the depression last April? Now it is the 75 million Trump received.

Amazon has billions in governmental contracts. 75 million is insurance to keep those contracts and to get more. Pretty obvious.

Amazon is one of the biggest companies in the world and has many dealings with federal regulatory authorities.

I could spend the next two weeks detailing the questionable interactions involving the Trump Administration. Why issue this pardon?

I scanned this thread today, and couldn’t find a single example of a person saying anything surprising. Politics as a team sport is the worst.

Who knows, Jeff. AI told me Amazon outbid Disney, among others for these rights. As closely as Trump's every move will be not only analyzed, but potentially litigated down the road, it would be dumb. But I am a little tired of discussing it.

Can you please articulate the bribe or move on?

Maybe he donated to the GOP? Who the hell knows. I saw that a while ago.

Speaking of team sport, remember Joe Biden's Quid Pro Joe in Ukraine(with video evidence from Sleepy himself) and how the left thinkers here ignored it? A paralegal even deflected it as being totally normal within US foreign policy.

Are your posts surprising? Do you think they are surprising? Yes? No? Broken record?

Trump is an absolute idiot, if he endorses Cornyn.

My dude, Paxton may actually lose in this environment. He’s everything not to like about Don minus Don’s great insult comedic talent, entertaining qualities, and mostly good FP.

So now if a woman is pregnant it creates an issue where LEO can’t do their jobs? Such dishonesty from the media headline.

Cornyn is a loser even if he wins. He’s the typical Dem Lite. See Thune, John as example S. See Tillis, Tom as an example B. Many more like them who hate Trump more than they want to represent the people who in fact want voter ID laws at minimum when it comes to election integrity.

Cornyn literally has voted with Trump 99% of the time.

Let's be real, you want lunatics and criminals antagonizing the left, you don't want conservative governance. Because I'll let you in on something, lunatics and criminals antagonizing the left isn't conservative governance.

Btw, Paxton quite literally attempted to steak a fancy pen from another lawyer (in 2012, when he was in his 50s lol).

His wife is divorcing him on Biblical grounds after he carried on a long-term affair. She tolerated it for awhile, but I suspect she ultimately ended the marriage because the affair hasn't stopped.

He was impeached by the Republican-led state house for misuse of funds to cover up his various bad behavior.

He was indicted for securities fraud. He ultimately reached an agreement for pre-trial diversion.

There is nothing conservative about this person. He's a bomb-throwing crook.

And btw, the key number in the Senate is 51. Having 42 extreme conservatives means Dems do almost anything they want (and even more if they dump the filibuster).

Thom Tillis is going to be replaced by a Democratic in 11 months. What a win that will be!

You may very well be right. I honestly haven't looked much into Paxton, but Cornyn(outside of money) is a bad candidate. R's around here are not high on him.

Cornyn is very bad at appeasing fringe GOP voters (I'm talking about the far right). He's very good at garnering general election votes in spite of his very pro-Trump voting history. He ran about 4-5% better than Trump in 2020 btw.
