Where did you get that cockamamie idea? I believe people should be held accountable. Unlike you, I wasn’t born yesterday, so I understand very rich people and the well-connected in Washington DC can do what they want with impunity. We have a Congressional slush fund for sexual assualt/harrassment claims to be swept under the rug. We have Hillary with 33,000 deleted emails (Obama’s DOJ slow played the process show she would have time to do it) and she was doing US business on her own not so private private server. Nothing came of it. The Obama official (Klein IIRC) who duped the FISA Court got a slap on the wrist. We have the seditious six who are on record, it’s video and it’s real, where the Senators decided to tell troops not to follow orders. That would get our troops courtmartialed/dishonorable discharge bare minimum. The Trump admin took this to the DC Fed grand jury and they said “no” despite the laws violated and despite the videos clearly breaking the law, which…ho hum…wasn’t enough for them. Gates and Hoffman were clearly big time Epstein customers. What accountability do you think we will get? If you think there will be anyone going to jail, I can tell you not a damn thing is going to happen to any of them. BTW, the Trump administration has provided significantly more Epstein material than the previous administration. The Biden admin sat on all of this info for 4 years and once Trump got elected, he was supposedly all over the Epstein files and a big Epstein customer. That has been debunked. What about the autopen? Completely unconstitutional. Nobody in that admin who used the autopen will be held accountable because the grand jury leanings are well to the left of classically liberal Bill Maher. Essentially the same with the Federal judges in the DC district.

You don't even understand what the term "drain the swamp" means. It means much more that cutting the federal payroll. More importantly it means to reduce the influence of lobbyists and special interest groups. Trump does the opposite. First of all, I don’t think Trump is even close to perfect. What he is is the beginning of the movement to take our country back and restore some semblance of sanity. I was not a fan of Trump’s reactions to Covid. We know that Fauci is a skunk and Birx has essentially stated she willfully misled Trump on Covid. We know how the swamp works. Neither of them will be held accountable. Trump is surrounded by his own people this time and has done a much better job selecting his staff. 45 admin was a turnstile. So far the only major casualty through not quite 1.5 years has been the DHS Sec and frankly I think that move may have had more to do with scruples than competence/loyalty to 47 agenda. I think that’s the difference and why I wouldn’t bank on a disaster. If Republicans hold serve somehow in the mid-terms, he also isn’t going to be brought up on phony impeachment charges every other month.
Anyone who is still talking about Epstein really doesn't care about facts. Note all the noise, and there was still not A SINGLE PERSON in the files linked to criminal sexual behavior involving underage girls other than Epstein. Not a single person. This is Epstein's private correspondence, not stuff he ever thought would be public.
I cited to the ABC News article multiple times quoting the lawyer who has made tens of millions of dollars suing Epstein and businesses tangentially involved with him (those cases are meritless but often get settled for real money because no bank/large business wants the embarrassment of an Epstein trial). He said that (a) Epstein's scheme was overwhelmingly for his own benefit; (b) Epstein may have "trafficked" (the better word is sent) a few overage girls to a small group of other men for sex (this is at the worst prostitution/pimping), but it was not a big part of what he was up to; and (c) almost the entirety of Epstein's activities with famous people had zero to do with Epstein's illicit behavior and was him trying to cultivate influence in high society or whatever.
I keep saying this. Epstein was the political/academic version of a "jock sniffer." That was why he was badgering even people who didn't want anything to do with him (plenty in the files weren't actually engaging with Jeffie, he was trying to engage with them). He separately was a sexual predator, who take advantage of young women (some of age and some not).
It is what it is. I'm beyond humoring all the people who want to believe their own fairy tales about anything political, it's become a tiresome exercise. Social media has basically destroyed rational thought about politics, and instead humors that partisan idiocy of both sides (and both sides have true partisans trying to spin Epstein).

Seems like the anti-interventionist right was not aligned with Rs/MAGA. Notably, they aren't aligned with Rs/MAGA on economic issues either, often favoring very government-centric approaches versus the more traditional free market views of the American right.
American politics would be better off if the anti-interventionist, economic left wing infotainment right (Carlson being the most notable) migrates - or in many cases returns - to the Democratic Party. Rs would need to replace them with some combination of educated voters with high incomes and working class minorities (doable but on a national level means hybrid conservative/populist type candidates, without too much of either).
