...and possibly the best or most famous slow motion replay in the history of sports. That play with the NFL Films music behind it basically was what started me off as a football fan through the 70's
You had to be to survive playing on that AstroTurf - like playing on a fuzzy concrete slab.

Odd thing about that day. After that game, Staubach led just as improbable comeback against the 49ers at Candlestick. Down 28-13 heading into the fourth, Staubach came off the bench. They kicked a field goal at 6-minute mark to cut lead to 12. They get it back two more times and score twice to pull it out. They did so, scoring two tds in the last 1:48. No one remembers it, because of the immaculate reception.

That game was really a changing of the guard in the AFC. The Steelers dynasty really started that year. I also noticed looking at the box score that both Daryl Lamonica & Ken Stabler played QB for the Raiders.
I won a bar trivia contest in the late 90s by correctly answering: "....Immaculate Reception....who was the intended receiver of Terry Bradshaw's pass?" I said "Frenchy Fuqua" before they finished the question, while the other finalists thought that was a name I just made up.
