Zion finally got aggressive, didn't score, but got fouled. I think he's looking to be a little more active in this half.

First three minutes of the second half and we’ve already seen the ‘burst’ more than in the entire first half. Even Coach Gentry said Zion was playing to just fit in with his teammates.
Yeah, he definitely has looked better already. He's made some turnovers, but that's just rust. After he gets a few more games under his belt, and more minutes we'll see the 'old' Zion.

It's kind of weird seeing him play for the first time not in a Duke uniform. Everything is just so different. Of course, he's coming off of surgery and having not played in months, but he's not playing like the Zion we saw every single game at Duke. I don't mean he's playing bad, but his on-court attitude is different if that makes sense. He's not jumpy and bouncy, constantly moving and running. Not celebrating plays (whether he's involved in them or not) with his teammates. Part of that is maybe just the culture of the NBA, I dunno.
I’m sure he is nervous as all get out. Super young, little out of shape and every sports network on the planet has been building up the hype for his return. Let him get 2-3 weeks under his belt, get in game shape and he will be electric as always.
Zion has already made a couple of nice plays in the 4th quarter to get the Pelicans back close. You can see he's starting to get back in the flow a little.

I've never seen a game that Zion played in that he didn't do something special, and I thought that tonight might be the first...BUT then he went crazy in a 3 minute stretch, including hitting 4 out of 4 from 3, something he never did at Duke. Unreal, and he's not close to being back in shape yet.

Pelicans win had they kept Zion on the floor.
They would have! He gave them a 1 point lead and had that crowd in a frenzy! But I understand why they took him out...the game was not that important in the scheme of things.

So proud of big Z! I understand why the Pelicans were being cautious with him, but man, I feel like u gotta keep him in the game near the end. He brought the pelicans back with a chance to win! Hope he can stay healthy because Z is gonna be a superstar no doubt about it!
