Maybe? You don't say.

No thanks. Gimme kids that want to be here. Gimme kids that don't lie to our coach. Gimme kids that show some level of loyalty, don't pout about playing time when the grass isn't greener or use our resources to better their chances at winning Mr. Football in a state they have no intention of playing in. You know, call me picky. I can be that way sometimes when it comes to standards.

maybe if they'd won a game in the second half of the season harris would have come

I agree with you, except that I want him here so bad.....

I understand that, and I'd be ok with it... But I'll stick to what I've said for over a year now, I hope he tries to come back and Mark Stoops tells him tough ****. Just my opinion though, he played the UK staff and fans like a fiddle now he gets to deal with whatever.

He burned UK once, and left the coaches scrambling to try and get a rb (king). Stoops had told other highly touted recruits thanks but no thanks, Harris is our back. Helicopter rides to high school games and long relationships and UK basketball games. Saban called and the kid spurned every benefit and relationship that had been built. When you play in mud, you get dirty. He handled the entire process with zero class. I'm not apologizing, I hope the kid never plays a meaningful down of football.

Oh, was that not already common knowledge in October/November when he was still showing up at the Cat Walks giving dap to coach on crutches and still attending every game and leading the staff, team and fans on? Did you miss that part? Was he just not aware of UK's record at that point in the season? Probably b/c he was paying too much attention to denying rumors he was a Bama lean while wearing UK gear to school everyday. Maybe. Maybe if he wasn't a self-serving *** that tried to parlay the attention the entire state was giving him into an ego-stroking award and instead acted like a GD man about the situation and told coach his true intentions, half the sate wouldn't view him as a childish liar. I mean, maybe.

I have zero problem w the fact that he committed to Alabama.

I have a huge problem that he decided that at the Iron Bowl yet pretty much deceived the UK coaches for a long time afterwards.

We lose players. it happens. But I do feel he played UK - and that I don't care for.

In any other situation you'd be right. However with the way he handled the situation, I don't think the coaches would be open to having him on the team. Even though he's an amazing athlete, there are other important things that go along with it.

I know a good portion of the Kentucky staff and supporting cast. They don't share the same feelings as some of the media and fans. The media/fans talked themselves into believing that Harris coming to UK was a done deal. And that when Harris went elsewhere that he led the staff on. The staff didn't share those feelings. They just wanted a shot to get him. Like Stoops said, "Just give us a chance to recruit you." In the end they felt they worked up a decent shot but by nor means did they feel led on or felt it was a done deal. Sure they were disppointed in the decision but if they felt he could help the team they'd take him back.

Would you rather him come to UK--which he probably won't because oc two yr rule or end up at Otis which would be a real possibility! !!!

Gary, I don't know why you would want that liar here. He lead us to believe he was coming here, enough that Stoops did not recruit another RB. I hope he falls on his face in Alabama. If Stoops take him after what he did to us, I have 4 great tickets someone can have. I cannot stand a liar.

But you thought to ask about him to a Bama coach?
I asked him. Bama coach said UK had no shot. OSU was their only competition. As soon as I heard that I stopped caring about how he plays. The only thing I want now is for Matt Elam to get a TFL on Harris this year.

From my meeting with an Alabama coach (I cant name which one) he told me Harris knew he wasn't ready for a prominent role. Harris told him he would rather be a backup taking some snaps behind the Alabama OL than being featured and crushed behind the UK OL.

Gotta love anonymous sources [laughing]

Umm. Please come here. WTF if he can't make the Bama team. I guarantee he can make our team, at some position. Every year I laugh my *** off when some of you predict wins. You need good players to win in the SEC.

I know exactly where you're at.... I agree to some extent.... I won't cut my nose off to despise my face... If the guy wanted to come and I knew for sure that he could help UK, then I would put my pride aside... It would be hard, because I want to feel exactly how you do, but I want to win more.... JMO

I've never understood the hatred for this kid. I wish him the best at Bama, and if he ever wanted to come back here, I'd welcome him with open arms.
I don't think most reasonable people here hate Harris. As has been stated so many times before, it wasn't the fact that he chose Alabama. It was the fact of how he led our coaches and fan base on, all the while knowing he was not going to come here. That is why he is so disliked. Personally, I could care less. It is done, it is over. I am not rooting for him to be the next great Alabama running back, nor am I rooting for him to get hurt. Whether he gets recruited over and rides the pines, I could really care less one way or the other. Do I want him here, HELL NO. Stay in Bama or go somewhere else is is how I feel. We do not need two faced liars in our program!! All that being said, I do think that CMS would accept him back with open arms. Just my opinion.

Unless DH red shirts, he will be Scarborough's back up for the next 2 years. I'm sure he's struggling with that.

Being recruited over at a school like Alabama, osu or Michigan is the norm rather than the exception.

Then again, so are team wins.
Never have been able to understand this argument that some make on this board (especially since Harris announced for Bama). Seems to be just fine with UK fans when we do it in basketball. And believe me, if we could, we'd do it in football as well.

Ironic thing is, that Kentucky's oline is going to be looking pretty good the next few years. Gonna have plenty of backs wanting to run behind our guys.

Oh how I would love for the Cats to find a way to beat Bama at their place. I mean, crazier things have happened right?

If that is factual then he made an intelligent decision. Just his method was poor.

Again a poster fails to grasp why fans despise him. It's not that he chose bama, it's how he conducted the whole recruiting process and strung our fans, our coaches, and the state of Kentucky along. He was a liar and laughed behind our backs. He used us to even go to basketball games, so he also used Cal as well.

Again?....wrong. I understand why UK fans despise (your word) Harris. I get it. He played UK, UK fans, and the coaches. I get it...no problem. I just said in a nutshell...if he's recruited over at Bama, so be it. That's athletics at any level, from pee-wee to the pros. Just a wrong statement by many of our fans in regard to his situation at Bama. Like he shouldn't have gone there because of it. Like he's just a commodity that can be shoved aside or replaced. Same thing happens at all schools. If a coach can find someone better...they will.

The tweets from coaches and the AD on that decision day say otherwise.

I am sure that basketball games weren't the ONLY perks for the tailback
