After watching his video, I really hope we get this guy. Very athletic. Player WR, TE, RB, LB. Looks like we are about 50/50 with Auburn.

Gah, I am still pissed about Ricky Johnson.

Also, we are now apparently just keeping B. Heavens "warm" - I guess the staff is just waiting to see what happens with Reid and Thigpen, but it seems like you would have to wait too long on Thigpen. No telling who will fill the last few spots on Wednesday.

Holy ****, we never had any legit shot with him anyway. Thigpen needs to be the focus.

from his recruitment all the way back to when we first offered, I think Auburn is just where he wants to be. I would love to be wrong.

The coaching staff, however, is apparently still holding out hope. At least that is what Rosebowl is saying. I can't imagine who else they would be waiting on.

You would think we need to sign at least 3 more players. Slay is not going to make it and I know there are at least one or two others in that boat. We have 24 right now, right? Hopefully, we close out with Gaston, Ricco Sanders (grade casualty - but still want to sign him) and Heavens. I mean, who else is out there? Madrecas Hood (grades), I know Thigpen, but it looks like it will be another few weeks before we know anything about that.

Our only options that I can see appear to be in this order:

<span style="text-decoration:line-through">Reid</span>
Thigpen
Gaston
Sanders
Heavens
Hood

Hopefully the staff put in a late night phone call to Johnson last night and got him to rethink his commitment to 17ing Tulsa.

Our old recruit DT Shackelford committed to OM this weekend after we had lost him to Tenn. earlier in the year. Surprised we didn't try to get on him again. Also, JJ Johnson's son Gerald West committed to USM - 3-star CB so was curious why we didn't make a push there as well. Still strange that Pat Miller chose WV and Johnson chose Tulsa over SEC offers but maybe it came down to where they though they could get the earliest PT.

It's not the first time that some random recruit goes up there and comes back completely blown away. I'm not sure what it is, because I've heard really horrible things about WV.

I don't know why any warm-blooded Southern boy would want to spend four years in West Virginia when he didn't have to.

Agree - has to be something incredible b/c I know several folks that have been to Morantown and not many good words were used to describe the experience.
