It sounds like Larry Harrison, with his “important people” statement, puts the blame for his dismissal on WVU president Gordon Gee or maybe major donors.

Harrison, with Bob Huggins at Cincinnati and West Virginia for almost 3 decades, recalled “great times” with the Mountaineers: Sweet Sixteen in 2007, Harrison’s first year at WVU, with victories over Arizona and Duke; Big East tournament champs; Final Four; and Press Virginia.

Left with class. Hope Gee shows class, too. Or whoever the “important people” (major donors?) are.

I wish him well. I wish Huggins and the players well, too. I hope for a W when my beloved alma mater plays TCU Wednesday night in Morgantown. And the rest of the schedule in the toughest conference in America plus Top 25 Auburn!
