Most universities are Liberal. Austin Texas is Liberal even though it resides in deep red texas

Thanks for pointing out the political and social environment in Austin. I recently made that same observation and was quickly lambasted.

For some reason people like to assume that all areas in Red states are Red and all areas In blue states are Blue. The San Diego area in California has some hard core conservative areas along with parts of up state New york

Most of California outside of LA County and San Francisco are pretty conservative.
