Has a coach ever accepted a new job without ever setting foot on campus?

Cause isn't that what y'all were pretty much banking on? Hell I bit. By 2:30 I was convinced that Peterson was the head coach at MSU. Has he ever been on campus or seen Starkville? Aren't small details like that important?

is that what your asking?

You think a coach would have needed "proof" that MSU existed? or that SEC facilities are better than WAC?

I would assume he could accept and then on Tuesday if it was bad he would "back out" and go home.

Petersen was rumored to have visited Starkville. Supposedly at least twice this year. And this was still while we were somewhat wooly about Croom.

never visited Carolina..that's well known. Brooks had never been to Lexington. And most recenty. Rodriguez had never been to Michigan.

Coaches don't have to have visits..they know enough about the schools, and in particular, Im sure Petersen would trust Byrne enough.

I'm sure he knew the facilities were better. But if I was from the west coast and had lived there my entire life, you can be damn sure I would go take a look around before I picked my family up and moved them across the country to Mississippi.

All I would need is an address too. But I'm not currently making 1.1 million where I'm already at. If somebody offered me twice as much money as I make now, I would still have too see the place before I signed the dotted line.
