Tommy Raffo works for Brad Teague.

Discuss.

I keep wanting to put Teague in Jonesboro.

Still... him being interviewed for AD is interesting.

Did he play under Marchant or Kinnison?

Or am I mixed up again?

If you think its bad enough having a beat writer with a degree from UM, just wait until we get an AD who has his PhD from UM. Of course so does Roy Ruby and Jimmy Abraham.

He has been contacted, but I don't know how seriously he may be considered.

He went to DSU and then Ole Miss for Grad school. Did some good work for Ole Miss as the Director of Athletic Fund-raising. I think he would take the job if offered. He did interview last time we were looking, but was not offered the position.

"This comes on the heels of a report from WFNZ in Charlotte that Fowler
interviewed Thursday with Mississippi State University about their
vacant athletic director position."

Fowler is at NC State now. He was at MTSU when I was an undergrad there and I can say this would be LT all over again. Plus, it looks like he is in the process of getting "released" at NC State.

Fowler was MTSU's equivalent of LT here at MSU. Most MTSU people were glad to see him go.

If this is true, it is bad, bad, BAD... the story is here.

I think we do need to voice our opinions on not making the Fowler hire. Our opinions may not have much merit, but they should be heard.

someone who is getting fired from NC State. I would say it amazes me that we have that low of standards at MSU, but then again, it doesn't surprise me.

I have a family member that is faculty at UCA. He's not close to the athletic department but from what he's heard is that Teague is a smart guy with a good reputation around there.Says Teague has to fight a lot of battles with the facultyand wouldlike to be at a school more supportive of athletics. He also says he'shad the understanding for awhile now that Teague would leave when another opportunity comes along, which is no surprise assuming it's a clear step up like this would be.

To add one more thing, Teague hired Corliss Williamson a few months ago to be the head basketball coach. It's a risk because Corliss has extremely limited experience, but we'll see how that turns out. At the least it gets people excited about a program that has been struggling with wins and attendance.

Very smart. Great people skills. From Mississippi and has the perfect experience. I hope our fans won't get caught up in his degree from up there. I think he will be a big time AD for whoever is smart enough to hire this guy.

would be.

IF Msu wants to hire someone who'll get the job done, he's it. Byrne is one tough act to follow though. Dont know that he could do much better in the short term, but Brad would be in it for the long term.

For the people and the kind of person the pack likes, Teague would fit.
