I just accepted a job offer, and I must get a series 6 license. I've done research on the test and trying to do as many practice problems as I can find on the internets before I actually take the 3 day class. What can you tell me about it and any pointers would be gratefully appreciated? So far it looks like a lot of problems I've seen in my finance classes. I graduate in a month, so it's crucial I pass it. I have full confidence in myself that I will. Any comments sixpackers?

I'm at my on campus job, and the day is just totally getting dragged out. I'm bored and my mind isn't functioning properly as far as grammar goes. I edited my post for grammar, however just for you.

I have a series 6 and the questions are more tricky than difficult if that makes any sense. Know your material and think every question through. It isn't an exam that you will want to rush through. Do all the practice test you can find to help you get a feel of how the test will be and you should do fine. You will be given more than enough time so just take your time. Usually if you have to take the 6 you will probably have to take the 63. The 63 is much easier

I have a 6, 7, 63, and 66. I'll have to say that to me, the 6 was the easiest of all of them. Buy all of your study materials from Kaplan and do the practice tests over and over. The biggest obstacle you will face is the crazy worded questions that are three sentences long. After reading it, you are not quite sure what they are asking. But all in all, the 6 is not that bad, just a beefed up insurance exam.

i took the 63 first and I think that made the 6 easier. Just study your *** off and you will do fine. That was 11 years ago.

well. If you are just getting out of school, much of the stuff will be review for you...calculating yields on bonds, terminology etc. You should do fine, especially if you are going to the 3 day class. Just do the practice tests, over and over.

Yes, I am just getting out of school, so the problems I have seen thus far look like a lot of review. Series 6 relates to insurance, securities, bonds, ect. It's a license you must obtain to be a registered agent. I'll definitely look up Kaplan. The company is paying for me to take a 3 day course that's like 8 hours a day, so after the class I'll just study for a few days and study leading up to the exam, and I think I should be fine. Thanks for the help.

I didn't even notice there were any grammatical errors. I was just making a test joke. Mere coincidence. Congrats on your new job.

I have had the 6, 7, 22, 24, 26, 63 and 66 exams. I could have accomplished the same with just taking the7, 24, 63 and 66 exams butI hada turd for a boss. Do the Pre-study before your class! This is important. But the 6 is the easiest of the bunch.

Edited to correct a typo.
