Surprising retirement, he really had turned them around and done well. They have a solid nucleus returning, some really good line talent, and that QB is annoying as can be to tackle in the open field. I wonder if Cromer might not step back in or at least plug the gap for a year if they can't really find exactly who they're looking for on such short notice. Might be best, honestly. Give them a solid year to find the right guy.

I tend to turn the "HS football" part of my brain off from December till summer so I miss some of these local moves.
Yikes. That's crazy. And I thought their athletic department has really improved over the last decade or so. We know that Blacksburg's has been in the dumps for the most parts due to...well, I won't get into it.
