So her DUI cost both them their jobs?
There are two different events involved. A month or so ago, Georgia Lindley (MSU Chief of Police) hit a parked car and left the scene. Witnesses followed her home and identified her. Allegedly, the witnesses said that she was weaving. The police department hushed it up, someone exposed it, and David Lindley (the Starkville Chief of Police, and husband of Georgia Lindley) was suspended, and then allowed to retire. Charges have not been filed in this incident.
Last night, Georgia Lindley was popped for a DUI. The police were supposedly tipped off by someone. She has been suspended with pay by MSU pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.
So, she was allegedly driving drunk last month, which ultimately led to her husband being forced to retire, then less than a month later, she gets popped for a DUI. If the first event didn't scare her straight, then she's in need of serious help. If she's convicted, an alcohol abuse program should be part of her sentence.
