Before last night, LSU was the consensus #1 team. Every voter in the Coaches' poll, Harris poll, and AP poll had them #1. Every computer ranking used in the BCS had them #1.

Alabama absolutely destroyed them, and there are still some that don't vote them #1? Not only that, somebody still voted LSU #1? How can anyone, with good conscience, vote anybody other than Bama #1?

LSUbeat them when it was "supposed" to count in november....or are you supposed to just toss that game out like it doesn't matter now. These two teams have one loss each to each other. If you want to throw point differential at me then ok. Lsu 9-6/bama 21-0. Bama beat their *** last night...no doubt. To me the series is 1-1. or if you want to say this one game is the big onebecause it is the "bcs championship game" is the only one that matters cause it the "big stage game".just devils advocate....i guess in the nfl you end up having to beat the same teams twice and three times etc. maybe that is the way it is.

the system now sucks but that is the way it is. maybe this sham will keep people griping for a playoff.

Superbowl. Just because you didn't have to play a playoff game to get in doesn't discount the fact that Bama was the clear #2 before the game (since their only loss was against the #1 team in the nation) and since they won by last night by dominating the #1 team, there shouldn't be a question.<div>

To me the game last night was almost identical to the first matchup, except this time Bama hit their FGs. Bama looked better than LSU in the first gamebut wasjust unlucky with the misses. This time they made them and the team as a whole fed off of it. That defense is one of the better ones I've ever seen. They were simply insane last night. To me Bama is the clear #1, and I see zero arguement that would change my opinion of that.

Florida lost to Ole Miss in 2008. LSU lost to Kentucky in 2007. They still got into the game over teams with the same record.
