I honestly can't name a single AU player and that has me worried that we will somehow make a Heisman candidate out of someone after this Saturday. That got me to thinking, has the RAT ever worked in our favor? We've had guys that have had big games but usually somebody that you would expect to. I was thinking Wesley Carroll at QB back in 2007 but, looking back, his stats were much less impressive than I remember.

There was Jeff Artigues' block of a final second field goal against Kentucky.

Who was Jeff Artigues, you say? I have no idea.

Won the game. Halloween Night - 1992

That's all I got.

Mike Henig vs Alabama 2006

That boy had himself a good game. I know he had a pick6. But he threw a couple of great TD passes and hit some big plays in between. He will probably smile about that game the rest of his life.

Maybe. I was at this game. Henig also threw a pick-6 and lost a fumble. Hard to really say he was the RAT, Culberson made some great plays that day and Dixon had a coming out party. He was the one that kept the clock moving in the 4th quarter.

Wesley Morgan had a big game against Arkansas in Fayetteville once upon a time. Don't remember his stats exactly, but I do remember ESPN named him their player of the game. I think he was close to a double double or something like that. One of the few times we've won a game at Bud Walton, and about the only productive game Morgan ever had in his career.

Christian Ducre at Auburn his first season had the game winning touchdown I believe. Only the 3rd game he'd played.

You're both right. Plump replaced Sleepy but suffered a head injury later in the game and Jordan finished it out.

I know for fact Jordan finished. I don't remember Plump. Boy, we double-RAT'd them.

I also remember Jordan getting decleated, and helicoptered head over heels. That was a o **** moment.

As was Bruce Plummer.

Anyone else remember those coon assses before the game chanting

"SEC, sugar and sweet. What we want is bulldog meat"

Well they got it.

Some dickhead had a bullhorn shouting that mess.

Old Scott Field was shaking that day.

Ole Don was hurt. Orlando made a few plays running the ball. Ruined LSUs dreams of a Sugar Bowl.

Emory Bellard started the game with seven straight pass plays. Must've been the only time in his career. Lundie completed all seven I think.
Didnt the students throw oranges on the field or something because LSU was forced to go there instead of the Sugar or something like that?

Do you even know who Orlando Lundie is?

Thought not.

Pathetic

No subsidies for you.

2012 SEC Baseball Tournament against LSU. Pollorena (no hits or RBI's all season) ties the game in the 9th and Britton (batting about .140) wins it in extras. I was there. It was amazing.

Wesley Caroll in 2007. He was the 3rd string qb that took us on a winning streak after injuries to qb1 and 2. Add that he was a true freshman and was red shirting up to that point.

Wyatt's the only true RAT that comes to mind in football. I was always under the impression that part of the RAT is that you think the other team's best player will beat you, then he won't, and then you're left with the backup or a bench player absolutely throwing down some rad numbers. Wyatt qualifies because Madkin was arguably the best offensive player and Wyatt had been relegated to pooch punting duties (and he's easily in the top 5 punters we've had the last 20 years). Henig doesn't qualify because even though he wasn't good, he was still the starting quarterback and frankly no one on that team was expected to be the player to beat. Plus when you look at the numbers Henig still had an awful game by most quarterback standards.
