Obviously, I've never been. I would appreciate an itinerary from the guy that laid all those chick in Omaha last year. I'm just going to be there this weekend, but I've heard it's the best. So, what the hell should I do, and by the way, I don't have tickets.

Ticket exchange works great. Get on it now.

Blatt Bar next to the stadium is a lot of fun. Tailgating is decent if you are hauling things there. Parking wasn't bad if you planned to make a day of it downtown. I drove in the morning of our first game last year and immediately parked within two blocks of the stadium.

There will be more T-shirt vendors than you can imagine by the stadium, along with abundant other baseball gear and food.

^^this.

Don't worry about not having a ticket. Use the ticket exchange and you'll find tickets.

Get a steak at the Drover. Not swanky or high-priced, but a great steak and a local favorite.

Go to Rosenblatt, and go to the little memorabilia store that is across the street (can't remember the name). Cool stuff.

First weekend is the best. Be prepared to see LSU fans- they schedule family vacations to Omaha.

I went in '04 so I don't have much to offer except that Anthony's steakhouse was pretty damn good.

I know it sounds ridiculous but go

to the zoo. It's awesome even if you aren't a kid. Its a little disappointing there aren't more Southern schools. LSU fans are fun to party with.

You simply could not handle my itinerary

and the town is called Snomaha. Not Omaha, or Olemaha or whatever the 17 gimmicky thing y'all come up with next

Omaha is a big coke town? I'd think the

Opposite, solely based on its central location. It's in the center of the U.S. Which is normally a good thing to distribute things around the country. However, in the drug trade, it'd be the end if the line. I.E. Lots of cutting done before it gets to "Snomaha"

Nebraska is a hotbed for drug trafficking. Henry Hill (of Goodfellas fame) was busted at the airport in North Platte, NE.

Depending where you're coming from, and we'll just assume MS, fly. 14 hours from Jackson.

Don't stay at the Motel 6. Only room we could find last year for Championship series. If you do have to stay there, get real drunk.

Walk around downtown for lunch if you have time. We went and ate at a few breweries. Only 15-20 min walk from stadium.

Get to Blatt's a few hours before game. Awesome bar. Mattress Factory was fun after the games - usually had a band outside. Both are directly behind right field.

Liquor is easy to sneak in. Only alchohol is in box/club area. If you can get tickets there, do it. Well worth it.

Go 2 and out. Seriously, have fun. People can claim it's a boring town, but I had a blast.

Here's what I posted on Facebook the other night:

So, you're suddenly planning a trip to Omaha, huh?

Well, a few tips for you:

1. Google's not lying, it's really 13 hours away, if you don't dawdle. Plan accordingly.

2. When looking for lodging, don't forget to look in Council Bluff, Iowa. It's just across the river, minutes away from the stadium.

3. If you decide to stand in line for reserved tickets, you don't have to be there at 4 AM to get... the first spot in line. What they do is cut the line off at a certain time and give everyone in line a number, then they choose a number, and that number is the front of the line. Just make sure you're in line before they cut it off.

4. If the number-picking doesn't work out for you, you don't have to stay in line for general admission tickets. Just go back anytime later and buy them. It will be the cheapest part of your trip. General admission tickets are good for ANY CWS game, they are not game-specific. Or you can try to scalp reserved seats, that's up to you.

5. The trick to getting a general admission seat is to go ahead and get in the general admission line early, probably more than an hour before first pitch. First come-first served once you get in the stadium, and the outfield tends to fill up from left to right as you enter, but you can sit anywhere. Just get there early enough to get to choose.

6. Once you've sat in general admission, you'll probably want to try to scalp reserved seats next time. They'll let anybody out there!

7. Have fun and cheer for your team. Oh, and I'd be willing to bet the security guards will frown on any right field beer showers, but trust me, the wind from the outfield will probably prevent them from occurring anyway. TD Ameritrade Park is truly where long fly balls go to die.

If you have time stop in on Warren Buffet and tell him C66 said hi!

you can find him where they server cheese burgers and root beer.

Stay at Hotel Deco

It's nice, walkable, and won't run the prices up on you like the Hilton did on me as the week progressed (mind you we were there for a while). My last night at the hilton I paid a little over 300$ for my room.

There's an African American gentleman who plays the saxophone on the sidewalk and memorizes all of the fights songs..I'd suggest not asking him to play Dixie.

I got my tickets off of primesport and sat in the club level the whole time.. Got mine and my brother in law/sister the best tickets in the house right behind home plate for pretty decent...they were worth triple when by the time gameday came around (once again, mind you we were there for a while) you get food and can drink beer and escape the sun.

No beer showers in the club level seats.. act like you've been there before (even though you haven't) and show some class for the state of Mississippi.

I dont think beer showers will go over well in right field but by all means try it. People from omaha look more like south georgians than mid-westerners.

Youll be shocked by the amount of over weight people with neck tattoos.

Take a left at Kansas City and

just keep driving until you get there. Have a nice trip.

Oh, and on the way back take another left at Kansas City.
