I haven't held back in the past when I thought the moderators were doing a lousy job. Fair's fair so I'm gonna also say they've been doing well lately.

This website doesn't suck in general nearly as much as most of the internet.

Yeah that one post barely even got racist before it was locked. I still follow one of our former posters here’s lame *** message board and it barely has any posts anymore, compared to this one. The last thing we need is this one being ruined because people said stupid **** on here and got it (as the kids say) bammed up. Yall keep up the good work. This is my go to site on all of the internet and has been since 2005.

I kinda feel sorry for folks who see any kind of compliment to others as something nefarious. If I'm going to biitch when I don't like the way things are going, I should be man enough to speak up when they go well.
The level of effort it must take to always find something to be outraged about is commendable. I just don't have it in me. What a miserable way to go through life.

This is getting on the good side of the mods before posting a GIF that was banned on another site’s forum.

If you don't think the moderators here do a great job of keeping this from becoming a political **** storm, I'd direct you to the subreddit titled simply Mississippi.

You'd think that would simply be a nice place to discuss things about our great state, and occasionally it is. But it's mostly a lefty beatchfest were any push back is, shall we say, frowned upon.

And it's entirely a moderation problem. They only expect people they disagree with to follow the "rules". If you're saying things they like, say whatever you want. When you ban everyone who disagrees with you, you get an echo chamber.

I hope one day you can find a space in Mississippi in which conservative viewpoints can openly be discussed.

Oh they can be all over Mississippi, no doubt, but I just kinda like a sports board to be mostly about sports. With some funny and informative off topic stuff. So I like this place.

I also like to jump in and throw my political feces at the wall just before our very competent moderators shut down threads that are destined to leave the rails. They need to be shut down. If not the site gets ruined. Seen it happen many times.

What you described is how I prefer the place to run. Have some political discussion. It happens but don't let it overtake the topics. When it's a huge election - it gets a little more runway. But we are here to mostly talk about sports and funny stuff.

That’s Reddit in general. One big echo chamber.

I want to start a post about how there's no such thing as a biracial coach these days?

But it would lead to some nasty racist remarks.
