There are a lot of times it's BS, but our coaching staff really does do a good job of identifying players and developing them.

Yes they do. Hopefully, Mullen is our Gary Pinkel.

Mizzou rarely has noteworthy recruiting classes. Pinkel recruits well to his system and develops the players. He didn't have huge success until his 7th season and then started competing at a very high level. We are at that point now in Mullen's tenure where we will find out if the foundation he's set is going to build into something greater like Pinkel did at Mizzou or we hover in the 6-8 win/season status.

Our staff does such a good job of identifying a prototypical size player at each position. 6'4, 310 OGs, 6'1 boundary CBs, 5'10 RBs, 6'5+ DEs. They look for guys with all the tools, and just refine him from there.

Its worked pretty well so far - at least on D.

So two of the top 7 are corners that, per a recruiting guru, arent sec players and should be in sun belt.

Meanwhile, their all american safety is an academy boy who nobody wanted. Also, their "star" turned down 1 million to play for the red sox and isnt good at football or baseball.

Makes sense. Must be nice to be wrong almost every time and still make a good living.

He has only started because all of your pre Madonna croots failed out or sucked. He sucks too just not as much.
