Defense looked good. Glanton's game changing pick was a brilliant scheme. Brown showed blitz on the left side from his LB position. Then he backed off. Then a second or two before the snap, Glanton moves up to show blitz from the same spot Brown had been at. Glanton hangs out near the LOS, then runs back towards the flat to cover the dump-off route and gets the pick.

The Vandy backup QB put the game in doubt in his first series. His hurryup offense put us on our heels. I had my doubts about whether or not we'd stop them again after they scored. But somehow we hadled it. Aside from Glanton's play I noticed we mainly just rushed 3 and dropped half the roster back in coverage.

I thought it said a lot about our line for us to be able to only rush 3 to 4 for the majority of the game and keep pressure on the quarterbacks like we were. The defense looked great this week, and they really laid the lumber.

People also forget that many publications rank Vandy's secondary as one of the best in the SEC, and I think we came into the game with the right gameplan (run it down their throat)... So many people are worried about stats, but I'd rather worry about what we need to do to win the game... To make this sixpack worthy... SCREW CROOM
