Most people on the Marquette board think that the Hauser brothers were tired of the Markus Howard hero-ball. Howard announced he was returning for his senior year on Friday. They literally announced the very next available day that they were gone. Crazy. Hard to imagine the #2 and #3 scorers of a top 25 team leaving town. The rumblings I'm reading over various message boards are Michigan State and Virginia as the two most likely destinations...

They literally announced the very next business day/school day that they were gone. Crazy. Hard to imagine the #2 and #3 scorers of a top 25 team leaving town. The rumblings I'm reading over various message boards are Michigan State and Virginia as the two most likely destinations... and as jimlsumner mentions, I'm not even sure we'd have an available scholarship. They are a packaged deal.
Don't want to see them at UVA. I only hope hof coach roy williams does'nt get a hold sniff of them either.OFC
I’m 100% with you. Wouldn’t want them if the begged to come to Duke.watching players bail because x, y, z is staying or leaving or incoming is nausiating. Apparently commitment and loyalty to your word have become something of the past. Its all about the individual. First sign of adversity....time to leave.
As MLK says "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy"
18 months from now I would expect Sam Hauser to be one of top 25 players in America heading into the 2020-2021 season. Joey Hauser has a really high ceiling, and he could certainly make one of the All-Conference teams. Virginia might be the team to beat for their services. Huge, huge bonus for any team that picks them up.
Oh no thank you. We’re good. We don’t want them. Go to Virginia or something
Wow. Somebody is gonna hit the lotto. Hope it's not unc.
This transferring of players may be bigger than the one and done. It will be a way for some programs to stay competitive yearly. Why is it perfectly OK to recruit a OAD or two and done transfer, but the world hates us because we recruit OAD freshmen? What's the difference? At least freshmen aren't running out on a program they committed to.
I think this should be a topic we discuss on the next podcast. The transfer portal and the teams going to the well year after year in that regard now is no different than the OAD. But clearly it will he spun differently. This transferring of players may be bigger than the one and done. It will be a way for some programs to stay competitive yearly.
It wouldn't surprise me to soon see the kids transferring to be eligible immediately.
