Was 2002 vs Oklahoma in New Orleans CBS? I was there but don’t recall who did the game.

Funny enough, a Memphis fan at the game claimed the reason that they were having so many turnovers today was that they have worn black jerseys up to this point. So their guys were obviously confused.

I feel like we had a national broadcast or two against Memphis State back in the Keith Lee days, but I have no idea if it was CBS.
Played Xavier in December of 2002, and it was on Fox Regional Sports. Played them in the Hump in Dec 2003 and it wasn't on TV. Oklahoma was Dec 28, 2002, in the Sugar Bowl Classic. It was not on National TV.
I think you are right. Kelvin Sampson was their coach and OU had some white forward that the media hyped up before the game. State won.
We didn't. We somehow beat them at old Mid-South in 1983-84, but it wasn't on National TV. However, Tiger High's game vs Ole Miss 3 days later was on ESPN. The Tigers came to the Hump in Dec on 1984, nor was it on National TV. Now, one of these games may have been a local regional broadcast.
That one was on CBS. February 10, 1996, but it was a regional game along with Georgetown-Syracuse, and USC-Cal.
