Blowed into BHam today for Hunting Expo. Decided last night I would hit The Toasted Yolk. Walked in, hostess asked, “You have reservations?” Nope, just blowed in on a whim. She said we taking a few walk in’s today, sit where you like. Ordered a Brisket Omelet, WOW! Off the hook!! Went to
pay, she said, no charge today for our soft opening, we still getting orders & staffing together. Didn’t have a bit of cash on hand to tip her & they couldn’t accept credit card tips. Only thing, they didn’t have everything available yet, so I missed out on ‘em Blueberry Donuts, but like the Terminator, “I’ll Be BACK!”
Y’all hit ‘em up if you find yourself in Birmingham to the Stallions Game to watch Corral qb but oh wait, maybe he’s still on injured reserve……

Was at one in Atlanta back in 90’s.
We were starting to get annoyed that no one would bring us a check and the service was terrible but we felt like idiots when we found out after having several great dishes that the staff was not even hired yet, this was just a menu test. Free and great meal!
