It's from the "forward rebels" facebook page. I was checking out all of the Spirit board-esque comments on there last night. They have a pic like this posted for Bama, LSU and Southern, too. They desperately want them to catch on.

I've seen this floating around on Facebook the past few days along with that dumb Forward Rebel crap, glad to see I'm not the only one disgusted by it
Embarrassing. These guys are total 17ing idiot. Please know that these idiots only represent a fraction of our fan base. I hear they had a dozen or so show up for their Reservoir event last Sunday. Y'all should sue them for illegal use of a trademarked item. Do it, PLEASE!!!!
He then ask me what I thought, I told him I thought it 17ing sucked and that we don't want any part of there jackassery. He just looked at me with a blank face.....

But yeah, he was modeled after a black man like all the UM fans claim. I agree that the cartoon Col Reb they came up with in the 70s may have been modeled after Blind Jim Ivey, but Col Reb had been around for a very long time before that version was created.
Oh, these col Reb guys are batshit crazy, no doubt. I'm just pointing out that everyone wants this **** to just disappear, at least in my circle friends anyway. Agreed, they have reached a level of doucheyness that a 10 win predictor can't touch.

Not trying to start anything but for me living and working in north Miss, it this may just be me but a whole lot of the anti colonel crowd are the ones posting on message boards. Most Rebs I come in contact with in real lifeare in support of this thing as least to a certain extent and like I said, I stay right in the heart of rebel country. Personally, I'm gonna try and not touch the subject and watch it play out as a bystander. All jokes aside, there are good people on both sides of the issue and really can't believe you guys can't come to some sort of truce on it once and for all.</p>
