It's nice to see a few moral victories and Ole Miss' failure to meet expectations has brought the old Eggbowl.comers out of the woodwork to ensure there are more threads about Ole Miss on the front page than this week's opponent.

For the record, "Many Happy Returns" was great marketing by MSU with the billboards and a nice touch by our Powetron people last year. For either school to call the other classless is moronic. I'll be back in a couple of weeks for some good natured Thanksgiving Eggbowl week banter. Until then, have a nice Veterans Day and I can honestly say I'll be rooting for the Maroon and White this Saturday.

I counted three that are based on Ole Miss. The first one is this thread that you started so it doesn't really count. The next one is about a thread on nafoom about a thread on here, seems they would cancel each other out if we're gonna start a pissing match about talking about each other. The last one is legit, somebody decided to discuss TSWRA and the song. So one thread about something Ole Miss related is somehow more than the 9 threads about us playing football games against Alabama? Yet you felt the need to come try to talk a little bit of **** and you believe that <span style="font-weight: bold;">we're</span> the ones reliving eggbowl.com.

First he says, we were never in the game against Florida? Really? It was 16-13 in the 4th quarter. I rest my case.

Secondly, scoring off of tipped passes is lucky. Yeah, there was no good defense involved whatsoever on those plays. When Florida does it, it's a touchdown and good defense. When State does it, it's pure luck.

Thirdly, he says we're in last place in the division, when clearly we're tied with them and both ahead of Arkansas.

Fourth, none of Lee's interceptions in the Florida game were tipped. Ummmmm they were only tipped straight up in the air. Dubmass.

And lastly, he predicts us to lose out b/c none of the games remaining on our schedule are winnable. Every game is winnable if you get all the right breaks (and refs) and don't turn the ball over. But he would classify that as luck I'm sure.

You are posting on an MSU message board and we are the eggbowl.commers? Yep, that makes sense.

Some of you Ole Miss fans are just upset that things didn't turn out the way you wanted, meanwhile MSU looks like we hired the right coach and that he might actually turn things around. So you come onto an MSU board and start talking about us having moral victories and acting like it is ridiculous that we are excited after 8 years of crap. Spare me, alright. We aren't optimistic because of some moral victory junk. We are optimistic because with a bunch of inexperienced players and experienced subpar talent we are competing with vastly more talented teams. We show up every week, play hard, and are well prepared. Obviously the staff is doing a good job. Again, spare me your ticked off crap. Ole Miss didn't go undefeated or win the west. Boo hoo. Go back to nafoom and cry over there, cause I don't want to hear it. We might win the Egg Bowl, and we might not. We are going to have a hard time pulling that one off. Regardless, I feel good about the future of MSU football. I guess it's time for OM fans to realize that while Nutt will be successful and will get ya'll to bowl games, he isn't going to elevate your program above where it is now. The glory days are over, accept it.

Today was just par for the course for him (or her). He(she) got kicked off of SPS, which is pretty damn hard to do if you're not intentionally trying to, and has almost been exposed to endless amounts of ridicule on Nafoom.

Sixpack is much better without her. I think Nafoom would be ten times better as well but atleast they have to deal with her and not us.

They were here before he posted today, and will continue to post incessantly here even after this post is on page 25.

MSU posters who are optimistic about the future of MSU football. You know, things were fine when we were on here last year bashing Croom without ceasing, but let us hire a coach that shows he has a clue about what he is doing and might pull us out of the football dunghill and the OM posters come out of the woodwork claiming this is eggbowl.com. I doubt any of you ever visited eggbowl.com. I did on a few occasions, and while there were idiots on both sides, I always found the most numerous and idiotic portion of that website were OM fans. You know what, the most idiotic portion of this website are OM fans such as yourself. Do us a favor and leave, because we do not care for your partially disguised hatred for MSU, your depression and anger over OM football having a not so super season, and your Bruiser like rescue efforts.

Those are the posters that sit and flame any and all Ole Miss posters for no apparent reason other than them being an Ole Miss fan, prefer to call Ole Miss any of the dumb "alternate" versions, generally believe MSU is superior to Ole Miss in every facet despite either facts or non-biased opinions that support otherwise, etc etc etc.

You have a right to be excited about your season and your future. You have managed to play better than most anyone in the nation, including your fanbase, expected. There is no reason not to be optimistic. It will be interesting to see which direction your program goes over the next 3 years, whether you continue to improve or level off.

As to our season, I am disappointed in the way it has turned out. Depressed and/or angered? Nope. But I am disappointed. But really, how is that any different than any OM or MSU fan generally is every 6-7 out of every 10 years?

Sounds more like an Ole Miss fan to me (of course if you switch "MSU" and "Ole Miss" in the second sentence). I just don't know of many State fans that are like that. I could name a bunch of Ole Miss fans like that though.

...we need a theme for the week of the Egg Bowl. You know, we embraced the week of the Jackson State game as racism week. Maybe a week filled with some good old fashioned eggbowl.com-style flaming will be fun.

I have MSU friends that predict we will lose every SEC game, no matter who the opponent is, the week of the game.

Those same fans always predict an MSU win, no matter the opponent.

There are idiots on both sides, in equal numbers.
