But we have a chance to defeat the defending National Champ on the road and end their win streak. That hasn't happened a whole lot in MSU history.

other than 1980? And although it was in Jackson, that broke a long winning streak (want to say it was 2nd longest in NCAA at the time at 28 games or so). Think the coon asses broke Alabama's other 20+ game winning streak in 93. I know the Rebs beat a couple of national champs (ND & UF), plus were the last team to beat OU before theirs.
