18 year old kid from Brandon draws first round matchup with Federer - Devin Britton

Anyone know anything about him?

ETS: In his profile, he's played one professional match and lost it - doesnt say to who

He won the NCAA Championship as a freshman this year. The C-L has been following him for several years. Most importantly, I have him to win 5 games or more vs Federer in the ESPN Streak for the Cash.

Good luck to him. DAA, I think you're OK with picking him to win 5+ games against Federer. With his serve and volley style, I expect Federer to take a few games to adjust (since no one plays that style anymore) before crushing him. I'm picking a 6-3, 6-2, 6-1 Federer win. Here's a good article on Britton from the New York Times.

Or at least it won't start any earlier than then, could be later depending on how the early match goes. But seeing as how Kim Clijsters just won the 1st set 6-1, I don't think that match is going to go over. Clijsters is probably already one of the top 10 players on tour only a couple of weeks into her comeback after missing the last 2+ years.</p>

I had another long streak and they are offering me another T-Shirt. Do you want me to order you one in your size D@A since you can't seem to get past a streak of 5?

For a guy in his 2nd career match to get progressively better against the top player in the world on a stage like the US Open is definitely impressive. Especially since he actually had a chance to take a set for him. Especially the final. That shows his determination and that he wont give up.

I look for this kid to make some moves when he gets a few better draws.

Good for him
