he's talking about attendance. even though they look pitiful, I honestly think that was to be expected, but that's not even what he's talking about.<div>
</div><div>so if you wanna look at it that way, the attendance we've had to the few bowls we've been to have probably trumped all of theirs.</div>

Wouldn't an AD* with any sack have told him to take his happy *** to Chapel Hill already? Or is the vacation to Hawaii on USM's dime part of some bizarro buyout package? Are USM fans even upset about this, or is Fedora's leaving less acrimonious than I'm assuming? <div>
</div><div>*just saw on the broadcast that he was on his way out, too. Really explains the "screw you, loyal fans" bowl.</div>

If Mullen had forsaken us like Fedora did to USM, no way I'd want him on the sideline against Wake Forest...

Seriously, I don't think there is a state in the union that cares less about a school than mississippi does about southern. Who ghives a **** how many bowl games they've been too. If they lose this game, they will be a 3 loss team that finishes the year unranked. That's how worthless c-usa is. Jackson state averages better attendance than the rock. Liberty and bbva, oops, ya'll weren't that good this year.....

Conference Championship won by beating #6 team, 12 wins and probably a #18 ranking. I guess I will just have to live with it. Sucks I know.

Conference championship, beating #6 team, most wins in school history, finishing 18th in country lands you in one of the shittiest paying and overall shittiest bowls there is. Plus your fans can't travel there to enjoy the bowl experience. I'll take 6-6 playing in a better bowl with better payout, much larger attendance and a big pro MSU crowd.

I wonder how the USM players are enjoying their hair gel and KY warming jelly bowl schwag right about now?

Why would random Alohans shell out a good bit of money to take the family to a football game that pits mighty Nevada against USM?

Just doesn't seem like there would be much interest in that.

Sorta like why would Boiseanites be drawn to some game in their Humanitarian Bowl(or whatever it's currently called) where Marshall played San Jose? They probably wouldn't.

There is a reason why the Hawaii Bowl usually has the Fightin Rainbows in it...

Since you guys have such a great program, which BCS Conference will you be playing in next year? Houston, SMU and directional Flarda are leaving for better leagues. How about you guys?

They know they are in a crap conference with limited funds and maybe a limited lifetime. They know there are tons of HC jobs far better than their's. They are disappointed that Fed is leaving, but not outraged.

Kind of like we would feel if Mullen left for a Texas.

And if Mullen had taken us to several bowls in a row (save it, USM fan, bowling in CUSA is a gimme), we wouldn't mind him coaching in the bowl game. Florida didn't mind Mullen coaching their national championship.

but I swear by the end we were hoping for Nevada to come back and whoop that a$$. No team from Mississippi that played that horribly deserves to win anything. That was a Crxxms flashback I would have just as soon not witnessed

I am not sure that a Croom offense ever scored 24 points******************

In all seriousness, though, that was bloody awful. I literally cut the game off from boredom.

What did you guys expect? Christmas Eve, $1,500 plane ticket, bowl fiasco, Fedora ****.....We would have taken 20-25k to Dallas or Memphis but not to Hawaii

This made me laugh. You barely had that many at a home game against Nebraska, so what in the hell makes you believe that you would have taken even half of that to a bowl game. If USM would have taken 25k to Memphis, then my dick is 27 inches long.

If you guys have not read anything about his recent interveiws (which I certainly forgive you for not doing) he has said all the right things about leaving and about tsun. As far as attendence smack goes, I'll take 18 years of winning seasons, 11 straight bowl games and 5 recent conference championships over a few more butts in the seats. I do not need the collective approval of a few more thousand people to make me feelthe teamI pull for isworthy. Please do not respond with the old"We're in the SEC so we have to play tough teams" becauseI can't do any thing about that for you. Also about our "terrible" conference, I understand from some post on here your best win this year was uab because after all they USM. Not so?Well which win was your signature win this year?

CUSA #1 vs. SEC #8. That matchup is how "viable" your conference is viewed by the people who set up the bowls. Don't talk about UAB vs State. They went balls deep on USM! Calm down! Go back to your weak *** Conference & stfu!

Without all the hyperbole, you have a good point. It sums up why their is no comparison between USM going to bowls the last 10 or however many years and what we would have to do to accomplish that in the SEC. For the last five years, the Liberty Bowl has matched the Conference USA champion against the number eight SEC team. The SEC is 4-1 in those matchups. That says a ton.

...probably about 24K worth of tickets that had to be bought by both schools, regardless of whether there were butts in the seats or not, and probably the other 8K worth of tickets sold or given away to charities in Hawaii (that still werent used).

Oh, and the ten Nevada fans....

If anybody gave a rats *** about your ****** little school, then you would at least generate some BCS interest. It has more to do with the fact that collectively your fanbase does not support any of your programs. Central Florida, Whale's ****** State, Pittsburg, and Houston all found homes in the Big LEast. Surely you guys would be more marketable in the Big East than San Diego and Boise? Also, I'm sure your marginal academic reputation and accreditation issues in the past may also factor in why nobody wants you. Happy Holidays. Go eat a poninsettia. I hear they are delicious!
