Hawthorne

[Resignmarkpope]

That's your opinion lol

I blame mark pope! Noah should be at eastern Kentucky or morehead state. Mark pope isn’t cut for this type of job. Blows my mind they hired this loser of a coach.

[Resignmarkpope]

By mid season Hawthorne will be much improved.

My mid season, mark pope will be getting booed at Rupp Arena on a regular basis

[Resignmarkpope]

This is true. Kam needs to get his butt on the court.

Nothing will change! Kentucky isn’t talented! The only person to blame is mark pope! Kentucky Wildcats are becoming the Kentucky Hoosiers, coach by mark poope!

My ignore list is growing. I used to never ignore anyone but it makes this place much better.

I don’t ignore people I disagree with. Even UKBBNever. lol. Just the morons that come on here just to act like dumbasses. I’d suggest everybody do the same.

Truth. Easy fix, I hope. He's just got to realize we have zero guard depth and can't put himself or the team in that position.

That was his fourth foul, so one more foul and he wouldn't hit the clutch shot that tied.

Exactly. His 4th foul, 85 feet from the basket, making a play I'd chew my 7 yr olds a** for making. I'm just glad it was his 4th and not his 5th.

Didn’t he also blatantly push a player on the drive Potter got a block? Was that him too or did I dream that up?

I remember the play. I want to say it was, but I'm not 100% on that. It was either him or Mason.

I like what Hawthorne gave us last night. He's not a star, but he wasn't expected to be. Because we only have 4 guards on the roster (I don't count Lil' Hawthorne), and one of those is OUT indefinitely (maybe for the season), Hawthorne may be an option out of necessity to play some guard, and would create some matchup problems with his length on defense, as we saw last night.

Blocking shots is his gig right now to me. Asking a guard to shoot over his Condor reach is difficult.
I love those. Has to demoralize the shooter.

The cry babies just aren’t going to stop. Three games in and not being 40-0 with 8 draft picks is more than they can handle.

Hawthorne is raw and undoubtedly has plenty to learn. His potential is obvious though.

He is already a defensive anomaly that can frustrate and disrupt passes and shots.

If all he does is give 8-10 minutes like the other night. Bare minimum he’s a solid situational 3 and D guy.

If he takes to coaching, develops, gets more confident and comfortable…he could be a game changer. That 10 mins of a couple 3s and a little D could turn into something more.

TP had solid handles, even as a frosh. And was very good defensively then as well. He was hard to watch at times, but those two things kept him on the floor early on that season.

Loved Prince, but, in college, he REALLY wanted to drive to his left. USC defender exploited that dependency in the tournament…and we lost to an inferior team. Coaches are responsible for pushing players outside of their comfort zones to improve their fundamentals in all areas of- especially areas of weakness. Point being: All college players have considerable room for improvement.

We are ZERO games in, not three.

It’s amazing Pope gave his brother a scholarship just to keep him here

Love Prince too but agree with your take.

I sure wish we would have exploited David Bluthenal’s right side. Lol
