Wonder how Farve would have faired under Shanahan as a coach. Practice, we talking bout Practice..

"One thing for sure that is clear to me is that Albert has gotten away in the past with playing without practicing. That will not happen under this regime. If he's going to play, he's going to practice, and that is the same with every player here. The days of him playing without practicing are over. And that, to me, says it all."</p>

It's amazing to me how the Titans front office seems to know when it's time to cut a guy loose (with the exception of Derrick Mason). And it was easy to see what was going to happen with Haynesworth. Pay him up front and he's worthless.

if he gets run out of Washington. If he doesn't pan out, then cut him. I just think he misses it here and really wants to come back, except he got paid and had to go.Hard to blame him.

First of all, he still has $68 MM left on his current deal. Washington isn't going to run him out without wanting some of their money back, and Fat Albert is ALL about the money.<div>
</div><div>About the only thing Albert misses about Tennessee is that whole practice deal - as in not having to do it if he doesn't want to.

pretty much. He got the big signing bonus he wanted. The rest of the contract is incentive based, so that 68M will never come into play. Washington, as I'm sure, is pissed as hell about the signing bonus they paid him, but they'll never see a dime of that money from him or from any other suitors that may go after him. All I'm saying is that we'd love to have him back in Nashville. If him and Shanahan can't kiss and make up, I'd love to have him back. Should that happen, it wouldn't be at a great expense to the Titans.

I know how the contract is structured and its not as easy as you are making it out to be. AGain, he has cashed $32 MM of Redskins checks in a little over a year. If he wants to play somewhere else, its probable that either he or another team is going to have to fork over some cash to the Redskins.<div>
</div><div>And I'm not sure how welcome he would be at Baptist Sports Park - especially for the kind of money it would cost them. Because Fat Albert IS NOT going to play for the fun of it.</div><div>
</div><div>Albert has met his match in Shannahan - a coach who expects a player to do what he's getting paid to do. He blew off practice in Nashville and apparently he blew off practice in his one year in Washington.
