It's finally here. Don't know if there will be any "bombshells".

On their website for the show, there is a 3 minute video discussion and Gumbel seems to be taking the "they should be paid" stance, so my guess is that it probably will give Auburn yet another pass.

And I'm sure we'll get slammed some way, shape, or form!

The Magic/Bird documentary they have on right now is absolutely awesome. I don't have HBO, but was at my in-laws last night and watched it "on demand" so sorry if Germans.

After it was evident that there was a huge ruckus over tapes that may not even exist at all, the whole situation just died down. But I fully expect to see cam newton be painted as a huge victim and maybe the added bonus of a newton family member shed some tears on how the whole situation has been devastating to them.

about the truckloads of cash the NCAA tournament makes (even with those loathsome Cinderellas hogging the Final Four) will be airing on PBS at 9(8c) on Frontline.

I have to say, I agree that the players are getting shat on by the NCAA. I didn't realize they have to sign a form forfeiting the rights to their image when they enroll - so the NCAA can make millions off said image in video games and rebroadcast of games they sell for millions to ESPN Classic.<div>
</div><div>The arrogance of the NCAA President in the interview and how he refused to acknowledge that he, his staff and every coach and AD are making all the money while the players get nothing but free shoes and "an educational opportunity" is horse ****. I hope Sonny Viccaro and Ed O'Bannon win their case against the NCAA. It's a mockery how much money everyone is making off these guys.</div>

they can go play juco or go to another league.

Nobody has a problem with it when you are hired by a company and all but sign away any rights. If I "invent" or come up with some idea on my boss's time it is his...just like any researchers or anything else.

The guys are paid. They are given a monthly check, free school, free food, free lodging, free books, free markenting and auditions for themselves and their "future" job interview, free coaching, free training, free use of facilities, free tutors and on and on and on.

Is the system broken, yes, but they are not a vicitim by any means. I have no sympathy for many that are ONLY in college because of football and most of them have their lives changed by it as long as they apply themselves because otherwise many would have never seen a college degree. I think it is a small price to pay for what they receive. I mean where does it end? You have high schools in texas that have 60 million dollar stadiums and coaches that make 10 times what a teacher makes. Does that mean that those players need to be paid too? After all, money is made of tickets and everything else. That said things do need to be tweaked.

are still within the statute of limitations. How could the NCAA just turn an eye to these statements by these guys and do nothing?

Oh wait, I forgot about what they did for $Cam. Nevermind.

A full documentary on some of Michael Lewis's stuff would be cool. I like that it didn't postulate any answers. It was just pointing out how ridiculous the money has gotten and that the only one's not "earning" any more than they were 30 years ago are the players.

That right to use your likeness in perpetuity is buuullshhhh**********!

//the piece on that Chinese artist was even crazier.
