very exciting game. LT trailed by 21 and came back to tie it in the early 4th at 21. HC put together a nice drive to go up, and the defense held from there.

Yep. Great game. Impressed by both QBs. Good resilience by LT to tie it after being down, but in the end HC was the better team.

It seemed to me that the difference was between the defenses. HC seemed to put more pressure on Bryant and I thought that was the difference. I watched the game on the Internet, so I may have missed some key differences. Did anything stand out to you?

Honestly I missed the first half. HC scored the first TD of 2nd half, then LT took over. Their defense actually dominated the 3rd by far, but you are right HCs defense was better first half and most of 4th.

Bean stood out to me, as a fan of LT. Very athletic, and nice arm strength with very good accuracy. Underrated. Bryant has terrific arm strength , but suffered with the pass rush. Not as athletic as Bean, but has a worse OL and a year younger so maybe not a fair comparison to him.

Both teams smaller than I thought, especially LT. For high ranked 8-A at least.

The LT defensive tackle is a Load.

That's all I got.
Thanks for the insight.

All this being said it seems that no one is in a position to say who the best of the wss is, given oprf's status. I think we'll know a lot more after tomorrow's game at duchon.

Glenbard West 56 OPRF 39 final. Sounds like HC best in conference after having beat two top 15 teams and remain the only undefeated WSS team.

Yeah I'd agree, it seems that way. But I'm hesitant to conclude anything for sure because of how HC has matched up with OPRF in the past few years. It'll also be interesting to see how the OPRF-LT match up shapes up.
