Im not saying Evans didnt have the credentials. He work in NCAA compliance for anumber of years and played football at UGA. Lets face it though.He was one of the youngest, if not he youngestDI ADsat the time of his hiring (34 years old),and he was black. The complete and polar opposite of Dooley. </div></div>
It was also after all the positive publicity we got for hiring Crooms as the first black SEC football coach. I guess they felt it was important to one up us with the first black AD.
