was it smooth like Bill Clinton? No. But it was fine, particularly with no podium.

He made no stupid comments and no dumb promises.

No podium. Wyatt was energetic. Ruby mumbled and fumbled over some scraps of paper, but his substance was good. Byrne was probably the best speaker, sounded very committed to winning. Mullen had this awkward nervous energy about him like he just washed down a pound of Fun Dip with 3 Jolt Colas. Said we'd run the spread offense but didn't elaborate much. Seemed very excited and happy to be there. But the whole thing looked thrown together.

The press conference in half an hour is more important. Hope it's more polished there.

Definitely not the same environment we had with ex-Coach Crap, I mean Croom, was hired. More of a pep-rally than a presser... and I'm ok with that.

I could understand him fine, but he kept saying the same things over and over. I like the guy and he said everything right.

Yeah, you guys are accurately describing it. Except comparing him to O-no the coach. Not even close. However, did Chuck Norris Bryne not say they met in Atlanta at 8pm Tuesday night until 3:30am Wednesday? Then he flies back to Gainsville. Then to Starkville Wednesday PM. Then has a presser this AM. Obviously, he has not had anytime to prepare and was just winging it. Not a bad job considering. He has to be tired.

Another thing, Bryne.......man! That dude is great. You just get the sense the guy is driven and has full confidence in himself. He will be great leader for this University.

Matt Wyatt.......great job. State needs a cheerleader in the press. Every school has homers in the media........about time we got one.

You can see the real personality coming out of Mullen in this more normal setting. The pep rally was awkward before anyone spoke and all the way through.

He wasnt rambling. He's pumped. He was nervous probably and he probably has not done too many of these. I met him last night and he was calling recruits on his phone the majority of the time.

I dig the energy and the aggressive mindset. He is nothing like O, much smarter and polished plus he has actually been a coordinator for 4 years or so.
